The History department of ST. Paul's cathedral mission college is one of the best department in the Calcutta University.It offers Knowledge and help us to pursue further studies. I definitely refer to others

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 7000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

3500 per semester for General students, But there is certain relaxation for Other backward castes.The college also offers some Scholarships like Swami vivekananda Scholarship, it will help to afford the fees, also the college authority is lenient about Fees collection

Campus Life

The Social contact of the college is one of the best aspects of this college. The college invites street child once in a week to make their interest in Education. The Campus is too eco friendly and known for its Cleanliness

I chose ST. Paul's cathedral mission college because they have the play ground, other colleges don't have. This college is known for its Heritage in the Calcutta University. It is one of the oldest colleges in Kolkata or West Bengal

Faculty

The college faculty is too good, there behaviour is too good. The best department is history department, they treat us like their child.ome of the best history faculty in the Calcutta University. I love it

Night Life

Kolkata Known as The City of Joy. the outside area of the college is very safe. The night life of the college is too good. There was no tension for security in night. One of the best college for Night life

The field tricks are done sometimes to make us understand the reality and the course is really good. I love that and the field trip helps us a lot to explain and to learn things that happening around us and foods are provided from the school or sometimes on trips, I'm really happy with my college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.
