Course Curriculum Overview
The course that is being thought in the college is the couse set by the Calcutta University. It is well prepared for your knowledge base to be indepth. There could be more practical and software knowledge that is being at increase in the job sectors. There is only semester exams with internals of 35 and written external exam of 65. The paper that is set by the calcutta university is generally on a tougher side.
Fees and Financial Aid
As the college is under government the fee is quite low. It can range from 5000-6000 according to your subject area. There are a lot of scholarships offered and financial aid for the students in need. As well as the state governmental scholarships.
Campus Life
The campus is big with the only college with a ground where all the tournaments and fests happens. There are a lot of clubs that you can join in. There is also an NGO initiative that the college take ti educate and cares for the underprivileged kids around. The library is big with almost every availability of books.
Admission
The college is well known by it's name in kolkata. It teaching staff was widely appreciated for there knowledge, thus my intention of choosing the college. For getting Bsc honors in economics under this college you will require to have maths in your 12th with an avg number of atleast 50% to pass the eligibility criteria.
Faculty
There were a total of 20-25 students where the ratio of boys were more than women. There are 4 teaching staff for the core economics. Each professor posses doctorial degree in economics with recognized published works. They are well adversed with knowledge of the subject. The best part is that they are always up for helping the students in need
Night Life
The college is placed at a location of Amaherst street which is walking distance from the main seladah station and the famous Mahatma Gandhi metro station with availability of all resources and places around. It is also on a walking radius of College street which is the main hub of books. The place is cheap and sustainable.
