Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this B.tech program in mechanical engineering because of my deep curiosity and passion for this field. The faculty-student ratio is approximately 1 to 70 and the qualification of the faculty is either Phd or the ones pursuing it. yes, there are professors, assistant professors, as well as Phd students The examination process is simple, the semester is approx. 5 months and evaluation is done through midsems and end-sems. The difficulty level of the exam depends on the subjects you're studying.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Plenty of tech, nontech or core companies offer interships with a good stipend and opportunity of PPO too. for example, there was a company named XYZ that offered a 5 figure stipend and performance-based preplacement offer too.

Placement Experience

4.5

yes, there are on-campus placements. students are eligible for on-campus interns during the 5th semester. placements are offered in the final year. There are all types of tech, non-tech, and core placements with an average package of 12-15 lakh and the highest at 1.8 cr international and 50-60 domestic placement rate is around 85-90%.

Fees and Financial Aid

DTU fee hike is approx. 15-16000 per year, and since DTU is a tier 1 college, the fee is a bit expensive. However, the college offers merit scholarships for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/ minority category. there is a fee waiver on the financial grounds for any student having parental income less than 4.5 lakh.

Campus Life

4.5

DTU campus life is wholesome. campus architecture is too big, even you would get weary of it. there are plenty of Societies and clubs, social, tech anyone you want. there is a separate building for the library. any course-related book can be found in the respective department in the library. classes are modern with an Air conditioning facility. there are plenty of fests that are conducted by the societies and they work hard for that, even though there are fests every 2-3 months. there are sports team selections every year for inter-college competitions.

Admission

The full-time B. tech program at DTU provides 15 specializations. The requirements for eligibility include 60 % marks in 10+2 (PCM) from a recognized board of education. The final admission of the aspirants is determined by the JEE mains examination score followed by JAC counselling. General/OBS/EWS male and female candidates need to pay INR 1000 and 1NR 800 for the JEE application form which is conducted by NTA. SC/ST/PwD Transgender candidates need to pay INR 500 for the same. JAC counselling fee (INR 1500) and registration can be done at the JAC Delhi website. Reservation benefits include 10% marks relaxation for SC/ST 5% for OBC candidates 10% for PwD and 5% for Defence candidates. 85% of seats are reserved for Delhi or NCT of Delhi candidates and 15% for Outside Delhi. 1 seat for state/central board topper and one (each course) for Kashmiri migrants and single girl child residing in Delhi. The admission process is simple, there are no complications.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
