Culture is pretty good. It is very strict and disciplinary
Campusing is also fair in the College with respected to other Colleges
Teachers and Faculty members are also pretty good

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in Nano Technology and VLSI Design as well as I was also interested in Coding, hence I chose this Course Faculty / Student = 1/10 Most of the Faculty are PhD holders Term exams were done twice in a Semester

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees are moderate with respect to other Engineering Colleges Students can apply for Undergraduate Scholarships such as SVMCM and WBMCM Merit Cum-Means Scholarship No stipends are offered Campusing is fair in this college

Campus Life

Our College is very bad in this field. Neither Annual Fest nor Tech Fest are conducted in the College. Even the Farewell to the Seniors are also being given by their Junior Students Books are available in the Library College is pretty good in terms of Sports. All kinds of Sports events are managed by the College

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

See,I didn't get good percentile in jee advance and so I choose to give wbjee exam to get a seat in engineering colleges and I got a rank of almost 17k where I got cse department in 2nd phase of wbjee counciling.I choose St Thomas College of Engineering and Technology because the fees is very low compare to other colleges as I don't get jadavpur university or any other top in that rank and I am very happy from my decision because of you need a college that gives placement and fees is not too high .This college is best for that....Read More
