Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is really good and based on the practical implementation of studies. Faculty members are highly qualified and have done their PhDs from renowned universities. They have vast experience in research.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Iit Dharwad has good relationships with industries and a good no of companies visiting to hire interns. The career development cell of iit Dharwad prepares students for internships. The period of internship is from 6 to 9 weeks and the highest stipend is 90 thousand.

Placement Experience

The placement of iit Dharwad is really exciting. A good no of companies visit iit Dharwad for campus placements. Students from the 5th semester are eligible. The average package was 18 lakh while the highest package was 55 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is divided into semester-wise fees. tuition fees for each semester is one lakh. There is a scholarship for economically weaker students and students belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.

Campus Life

Campus life is really good and amazing. Iit Dharwad has a newly built campus with modern infrastructure. Parsec is the annual tech fest of iit Dharwad. Sports facilities are really good and all facilities are available for sports.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are really good. Rooms are newly built and each member is allotted 4 members sharing rooms and each has a bed, almirah, and study table. The mess facility is also good and serves four times a day.

Hostel Fee: INR 2500 per year

Admission

The admission process is through the jee entrance exam. One has to clear both jee advanced and jee mains. Jee is conducted every year by the national testing agency every year. After cleaning jee advanced one has to sit in Jossa counseling.

Students are eligible for placements since 3rd semester only if they possess extremely high talent, otherwise, most students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester of engineering. Many companies such as societe general, microland, deloitte, capgemini, keep visiting our campus on a yearly basis. Usually the packages vary from 5-20 lakhs. My plan after degree is to get placed in a good enough company that satifies my necessities

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

I applied for CSE and MnC branches of all the 1st and 2nd gen IITs along with the 3rd gen IITs, my rank was about 4.8k so I knew I could get CSE only in the 3rd gen IITs out of which I felt IIT Dharwad was the best. My main reason for choosing IIT Dharwad was CSE, also that it was mentored by IIT Bombay, so the syllabus is quite tried and tested, also Dharwad is near to the tech hubs of the country like bengaluru, pune, mumbai, hyderabad which is good for someone who is really passionate about CSE. IIT Dharwad is new but not forever..

The college comes within the list the prestigious colleges 'IITs' and that is the major reason to choose this college and not any other with my rank in jee advance. all you need to do is clear jee advance with a minimum rank of 16-17k to get entered and for computer science it is around 4-5k.
