Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.COM(HONOURS) under CBCS because I love commerce and after studying Commerce for about 4 years in classes 9,10,11 and 12. That means my love for the subject kept on increasing day by day and finally chose this course with honors on Accounting and Finance. And I'm enjoying it quite well. Students in our college are in huge numbers. Only in our Department of Commerce there are about not sure but approx 1,000+ students. And now there are other 4 departments you can imagine. Term exams may be divided into two exams in a year. One Semester takes place in 6th month after being admitted for the course and the exam is divided into an Internal Examination (exam is taken by the college faculty: 10Marks +10Marks for Attendance) and an external examination (80 Marks paper is made by Calcutta University). Yes, it is easy to pass the Internal exams but not the external ones. And if you're a student of an honors course then you've to put in extra effort to pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of studies in our college is not more than 10,000 per semester depending upon the courses. I can tell you the exact amount of fees in my department of commerce. At the time of admission, note the application form fee is free, and payment for admission is Rs.5,540. And no need to pay any extra fees for the next 6 months. Because payment is made only yearly basis. Next year again Rs.5540 and then again 5540 for the last year. SVCM is more trending in his period and max students get this kind of benefit. No, I've just completed my 2nd year. Maybe after graduation, they will provide me with a job opportunity.
Campus Life
Our annual fest name is"PARICHAY" and it happens every year and don't need to pay any fees for this fest. It is organized by our Union members. Availability of best books in our Library UGC BANK. In our college, there are good quality sports systems.
Admission
The eligibility for the course B.com(Honours) CBCS, is minimum marks obtained in ISC, CBSE, or H.S. in subject Accounts 55 and in an aggregate minimum of 60% if you're General caste. Other OBS, SC-ST around 35%. You'll find the application form for the college on the College's official website. In this college, there is a facility for reservation for OBC, SC, and OBC and for DISABLED STUDENTS. They can take admission with lower marks in comparison to GENERAL CASTE. I personally feel that the admission process is quite smooth and I don't feel about suggesting any better process.
Other Applied Colleges
Techno India University | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] (Human Resource Management)
I didn't opt for this college because there are many reasons, 1st point I feel studying in Government college is far better than studying in a Private college paying fees of more than 3L.
