Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have always had a penchant for studying History. My batch was the first batch of History in Amity Kolkata. Our professors were PHD holders in average and had a good hold over the subject. We had an interactive classroom session and it was imperative for us to read journals and books assigned by the professors. There were Internal and Final exams, and the exams were specially curated for holistic growth of the students. Viva, writing, Presentation and seminars were the modes of exam. The routine was thoroughly followed for both exams and classes.

Internships Opportunities

5

My internship was in the prestigious Indian Museum Kolkata, it was a research-based internship and was unpaid. But the certificate received is invaluable. Others got paid internships too at companies like TCS, Cognizant and so on.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for this course had no spikes, it was uniform all throughout as written during admissions. An unpaid or paid scholarship is assigned to students during the start of their 3rd year. The placement cell is not active for social studies students.

Campus Life

4

There are several clubs for students to join from literary to music. There are football fields and other indoor game activities too. Every department gets money assigned to conduct programs and the yearly Amiphoria also takes place.

Admission

The eligibility criteria for a Bachelors's in History would require a score of at least 50-55% score in the 12th-grade board exams. English proficiency is also needed as the course is conducted in English. The application form and fee and date are updated on the official site, a student can check these out, and the application fee would cost 1100 INR approximately. There are Reservation and scholarship benefits for students as determined by the University. A student would get 25, 50 and 100% scholarships based on their board results. There's a sports quota scholarship also offered to students. The admission process is in 3 steps, and Amizone the official student site for all Amity students, parents and professors is activated at the end of the application process. In Amizone the student will get all the required help and other documents and can check their attendance, timetable, Fee receipt, Faculty, Faculty Guidelines, Registration, etc. The admission process is pretty simple.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because I loved the subject. Nothing more. The faculty of political science consists of 5 professors and our class strength is 58. The faculty is well qualified and they will cover each and every topic for you. But in the online mode of teaching, you will surely face some difficulties communicating with the professors and the regularity of the class will decrease but in offline mode, you will not face these problems. There will be 1 mid sem exam and 1 final exam per semester. There will be assignments and attendance also carries some marks (In our case, 5 marks per paper). The exams are conducted regularly and they were not much difficult to pass. The faculty will help you as per your need to prepare for your exams.

My college is one of the best college. It's a government college that's why the fees structure is affordable for poor or middle class family students. The college communication system was too good for Near NH-41. It is naac affiliated college.
