- club culture: seniors will force you to joins several clubs, and inorder to be an active member of it " being the workforce" you will have to sacrifice a lot of your time.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always had this fascination with biology and I was also a NEET aspirant but unfortunately couldn't make it to the MBBS but for those like me, I bet it's a great backup plan. The curriculum is set so par to higher pg examinations like CSIR-NET etc, you will not feel pressure cracking it. Faculty to student ratio is very adequate. The faculties will train you perfectly for higher studies like Ph.D., etc. But, you have to pave your way out and grab opportunities because it is a TECHNOLOGY institute, and the placement cell needs to boost career development for our branch.
Internships Opportunities
The companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Pidilite, Accenture, and Bajaj come but only for BTech students. Internships for Msc students are much more based on their own capabilities and connections but seniors are there, they will guide you when in need.
Placement Experience
The placement offers come in right from 3rd year and we like to call PPO the pre-placement offer but most companies come at the beginning of 4th year. For my branch, most of our seniors opted for PHDs or maybe educational sectors.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee is 80000. The fees are nominal for a 5-year course yet there are several measures to aid you financially. The fees for hostel accommodation and mess need to be under measure as most of our expenses are taken by accommodation fees.
Campus Life
Life at the NITR campus is amazing. The exposure you will get interacting with seniors and then there are a lot of clubs you can be a part of according to your interests. Fests happen at regular intervals majorly 5 fests in a year. The library is a must-visit for every student, books availing is at the ease of your fingertips. classrooms are huge and can easily accommodate around 150 students.
Hostel Facilities
24/7 free wifi + lan facilities. well ventilated rooms along with gym, stationary and canteen facilities. The nearby dispensary is also there. mess is also neat and tidy. we are being served 4 meals a day. .
Admission
so, I am currently pursuing an integrated MSc in life science. The Eligibility for the course is through JEE MAINS. Once you clear JEE MAINS, you are ready to go through the counseling process which is conducted by JOSAA and CSAB. There are a total of 25 seats for each of the integrated MSc courses, so you really need to score the "creamy layer" marks.
