I appreciate our college for being only one fisheries science institution of our state. The college has given me many experiences to deal with adverse conditions in life .The bad days that I have seen here have taught me great lessons of life. Speaking of

I appeared out entrance examination and scored 85 out of 200 And was ranked in 1343 position. I got admitted to college of fisheries, ouat because I wanted to get my self placed in a government institution with better carrier options.

Our course curriculum almost covers every field of science related to fisheries including economics,financing marketing etc, that helps us to have a broad sense of knowledge.

We have a six month training programme in our 8 th semester, where we come across the farmers or processing plant workers and gain practical knowledge. The general stipend offered during our training programme is rupees 1200 / month.

This year CP- AQUA company had come for campus selection and had selected 10 students with a package of 25000 rs / month.Besides ,124 students got posted in different blocks of the state as Assistant Fisheries Officer ( class 2 gazetted Officer ) under the state government.

We celebrate many festivals and functions in our college , the biggest of teem being the annual function. We organise welcome ceremony , farewell, cultural nite etc. Also we conduct sports meet , literary competitions and NSS camps with active participation of every students.

The fee structure is not so expensive, besides owning a cost sharing seat of the college. The fee is rupees 5500 for every odd semester and around rupees 40000 for every even semester.

The Merit scholarship of rupees 4800 is offered to 15% of the whole strength, depending upon their position in class. The other scholarship is "Medhabruti" of rupees 10000 is offered to all other deserving students.

We have students of all the sections of our society. Almost every batch has a gender ratio of 1:1. Every one is very friendly and we chill out in every functions and festivals , enjoying a lot.

The hostel rooms are 3 seated for B.F.Sc students. We have a total of 40 rooms excluding the guest house and the dining hall. The food over here is eatable. We have a large dining hall which can accommodate 100 students. Our per month mess bill figures ab

The seniors of our college are very cooperative and affectionate, helping us in every aspect. They are our path leaders in this home ,away home. Our alumini network is very good as we are in frequent contact with our super seniors.

The exam schedule is not hectic As we have one mid term and one external exam per semester. So, we have enough time in between the exams to get our self prepared to write the exams.
