Ravenshaw is the best

I choose chemisty as my honours subject because I like to study chemistry and wants to go in research line in future. I choose ravenshaw because chemistry is the biggest department of ravenshaw with 4 smartclass and 6 different labs for study in different fields. And every teacher are very caring, soppotive.

According to my friend this college alumin is very strong they Collab with various good companies for placement and internship. Recently they Collab with Coursera who provide skill development courses , so that every student who added that seminar are get all the courses in free of cost. I also take 3 to 4 courses in coursera like digital marketing, e-mail marketing, grafic design,meta ads, python programming.

I don't know more about how placement season in ravenshaw. But mu friend study in BBA department ,he said in our college 80% of students get placement. They get avarage 16 lakh per annum salary. Our university alumni are very strong and they Collab with various big companies.

We have to pay only the admission fees which is very minimal but for professional courses like BBA ,ITM,BED.BSC,MCA they have to pay more money. I have to pay 2500rs for admission fees every year and 600 rs per semester form fillup. There are reduction of fees for sc st students. We get two and more scholarship from both national and state bord like UG merit and post matric scholarship,NSP scholarship which is 10000 per year upto last of graduation. But sc and st students get more money and facilities from government. Our college didn't charge any other fees .

students explore every field. There are many clubs for dance, singing, debate, cricket team, badminton team, football and basketball teams.many of the club are maintained by students but the sports club and ncc are maintained by sports teacher and staffs. we have a big playground and gym for both boys and girls . The gound has specific area for basketball , tenis, badminton, football, cricket and running area. 2 to 3 festivals in every month of Indian and odisha festivals.

Our college has 6 boys hostel and 5 girls hostel. Hostels fee is 8500 rs per annum and every hostel has their own mess. Mess due depend on number of meels so it varies from 1800 to 2500. They provide two time meel like lunch and dinner, 4 days nonveg and 2 days veg. Hostel are allowing students movement upto 9pm. If you want hostel you have to give thik mark on hostel option during college form fillup . If didn't get hostel in first year then you have to fill a form for second year hostel selection. They select candidate on basis of mark and distance of house. There are single , double, four members rooms in hostel. It varies hostel to hostel. If we rend a hostel room in this locality you have to pay 2000 to 2500 rs per month (excluding charge of breakfast, lunch, dinner).

I am student of adisha bord in 12th. Basically i choose to do bsc chemistry honours . I give 5 colleges for selection . First i was selected for bjb autonomous college but I waited for further selection . I get ravenshaw in 3rd selection so that I came to ravenshaw. This is also my first name of college list. Our college give admission on the basis of mark in 12 th . Avarage 90% is the cutoff of our college in various science departments. But it will reduce in arts stream.

We are 64 students in our honours in first year . Similarly for 2nd and 3rd year and also pg students have 64 sits for both year.our department has 15 teachers in chemistry department.i like ankita and Anuradha mam and HOD mam because they are very supportive, encourage us about our future, giude us to take part in different compititions. I didn't like only one teacher because he teaches good with speed conversation so I don't understand easily. There are one semester in every 5 to 6 months and one mid sem and various class test are occured. Our question level is moderate we can score good. Rarely students fail in exam. Course curriculum is pretty good.

We have a cafeteria with various snacks, colddrinks and different fastfood itoms with proper hygiene. And kanika library has a large area with 2 floor of only books and 500 to 600 students ca read together. The hostel allow students movement upto night 9 pm .college has 4 gates . So everytime one gate obviously open for us. The locality is very clean and safe because a Scb medical (biggest medical of odisha) present near it and college has many sicurity guards who always present everywhere. Near we can go for visit like mahanadi, barabati stadium and law meusium.
