Course Curriculum Overview
I enrolled myself in this course because of the subject matter and approch to study political science in theory as well as in practical scenario. Improvements can be made in the fields of lectures by making it more elaborate and specific. Exams are held in every 6 months and the questions are not that difficult to attend.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is very simple and clear. We pay an amount of Rs700 every year for readmission and the course fee Rs.2700. Hostel fees includes Rs. 6000 readmission and Rs. 800 for annual electricity bill and Rs 1000 for maintenance. Many scholarships are available and provided to the students such as national scholarship, state scholarship and other scheme driven scholarships ranging from Rs.10,000 to Rs.50,000.
Campus Life
festivals and celebrations wee made in the university campus such as annual food fair, flashmob and inter-college competitions. Accessibility of books and journals available in the library move across a wide variety of genres. Classrooms are technologically developed and maintained. Sports and other extract activities offered are top-notch with different societies made in the campus. I am unaware about any student run group, club or portal.
Hostel Facilities
Lights, fan, bed, table and chair are given with attached cupboard facility. Meals are tasty, hygienic, filling and affordable as Rs.30 per meal. Registration process is easy as you have to go to hostel office and do rest of the process there such as document verification, signatures and money transaction which is very much affordable like Rs. 8000 per year. I have not rented a room ever but here rooms are available in this locality.
Admission
I hadn't applied for any other college because my university is the best institute for higher studies in Odisha and I wasn't supposed to go anywhere out of the state. Admission process is very simple you have to just apply form in SAMS portal, after selection download your intimation letter and go to the respective college with all your documents. The cutoff during my selection was 90% in your 12th boards.
Faculty
The scene faculty to student ratio is miserable because there are less faculty members. They are very much approachable, down to earth and patient while being with students. The faculty I like the most is Sanghamitra ma'am because of her understanding, discussing and connecting nature. There is no such faculty I don't like. Basically there are 6 exams in 3 years. The level of question is moderate to difficult, very few students fail to clear the examination and the course curriculum is pretty relevant.
Night Life
Gym, cafeteria, library everything closes at 9 PM. Hostel in time is 9 PM and the campus gate shuts down at 10:30 PM. Famous hangout place inside campus could be all the lawns, seven pillars area and 4th gate temple area. Outside the campus you can either explore the khao galis or can go to the park to hangout on the Mahanadi riverbank.
