Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Since I love physics And I was eligible for the course, I have chosen B. Sc. (H) Physics. In my class, we were 32 students so it was not difficult for us to interact with the teachers. My physics Department faculty members were really very supportive. They care for our future and are always ready to help us in every aspect. They are very hardworking teachers. In my department, four teachers are professors and 4-5 are phd holders and 2 are M. Sc. teachers. Some teachers have done their phd from a foreign university and one of our optics teachers have done phd from IIT Delhi! There were tests, assignments on a regular basis which were part of our continuous evaluation. Exams were moderate level. Some were a bit hard but it was not so difficult to pass the exams. If you follow teachers and study hard it is not difficult to crack exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees were about Rs. 13,950. Except this, they charge examination fees depending on the subjects you choose. The college provides some scholarships too and also provides fee concessions to financially backward students. Students whose family income is less than 1 lakh rupees annually got full fee concession. Students who got full fee concession their tuition fees get refunded. The scholarship they provide is merely 600 rupees only once a year.

Campus Life

4

College life is just ok. Every department of the college organises various cultural fests. This club also organises events, competitions and various cultural activities. Our college's annual fest name is LEHREN. It is conducted in the January- February month. Our college provides a library facility where students can get all the books related to their curriculum. The classroom was well equipped. The sports department allows students to take part in sports activities and also trains interested students for national-level and district-level competitions. There are many clubs in our college and it is mandatory for every student to join any one club. Every department has its own society which organises various events. They have their social media handle.

Admission

Admission to the college was completely merit-based. But now they accept CUET scores. First, you have to register on the DU website. Fill up the form and pay the application fees. There is also a Sports quota through which students get admission to the colleges. The admission process was smooth and easy. I have selected the college on the basis of merit. Yeah, the only thing that upset me was that when I called on helpline number no one respond. Except that everything was perfectly ok.

I will rate 10 out of 7 to this course curriculum because in this course the experiment and lab works is too low as compare to another courses like biomedical science, bsc zoology and many more. But it's ok I'm happy with this course.

Students become eligible for placements on the 3rd year, we have decent placement opportunities but not the best, highest package is around 15 lakhs. Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.
