Quite a decent, robust and allround package

The course curriculum is quite systematic and up-to-date. I chose the course because of its good future scope and also of personal interest. Almost 1:5 faculty-student ratio which is quite healthy. All the teachers are Ph.D. graduates and Research Scholars in their field with many research papers and journals and even patents. Teaching is also very elaborate to the point and meets international standards.

Almost all the companies that offer placement also give internship opportunities to students with a Stipend of over 1 lakh. Students can apply from the 5th semester onwards. A major project has to be done in the final year by all.

Students become eligible for placement starting from semester 7. More than 100 companies visit the campus every placement season with more than 400 offers. The highest package is around 70 lpa and 16blpa average for most renowned companies. Almost 90 percent of students from circuital branches get placed. Nos. decrease as we move further to mech prod and chemical.

Fees are a little on the higher side as it is a semi-private college funded by the state government. The fee structure adds up to 1600000 for the 4-year course including hostel and mess fees. Sometimes they can be a little hike too. There is a huge benefit and assistance of GP Birla Scholarships based on merit and also on means ranging from full 100 percent to 25 percent. I received a 100 percent return in my first year.

Life is very happening on campus. There is an annual fest Bitotsav in March and a tech fest Pantheon in October which are very exciting with numerous events of all kinds with a footfall of over 5000. There is a huge central library with a huge collection of books and journals from all fields. It's a pride of the College. Classrooms are modern with all the amenities from AC, speakers microphones, quality beaches, and provision of smart class. They also have very good ventilation.

Hostel facilities are quite good. 12 hostels for boys and 2 large hostels for girls. Rooms have a bed, table, chair, light, fan, socket board, and also a large Window. Meal quality is average in some hostels and above average in the rest. The menu is vast for everyone including veg and nonveg. It is also changeable according to combined students' opinions.

The admission process was through JEE Mains exam. The counseling was done through the JoSAA portal. One has to score 75 percent in 12th to be eligible for counseling in this college.
