Remarks

The overall experience till now has been very good and hope it'll build me a good career. The campus is lush green , very good environment to study and very historical.

Entrance Preview

KCET is the state level entrance exam that is being followed for the admission.there was no interview process. My interest towards engineering and that too towards electrical engineering was inculcated since I was a kid. This is what made me choose my course

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen electrical and electronics engineering as I had like it since I was a kid and I was what i wanted to do. The department is fully equipped with modern apparatus and good research amenities.

Internships Opportunities

Currently I have no idea about the internships but yeah the college recommends students for internships. I have heard students getting good internships upto 10k per month in BHEL , TCS and infosys

Placement Experience

The placement here is very good compared to other colleges. Many companies visit the campus. 70% of the students are placed. Accenture, Infosys, TCS, Mercedes wer the major companies. 6 lakhs per annum was the average package

College Events

There are lot of student chapter that keep organising events like IEEE, ONYX, ISHRAE, etc. TechNIEks is the annual fest that is organised by the college and more that 20 thousand people visit the campus during the fest. The fest is one of the famous fest in Mysore.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As I entered through kcet, I had to pay ₹19090 to the Karnataka examination authority (KEA) and ₹14230 to the college. It was quite affordable for me and thanks to my parents for that

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is very old and doesn't feel good to stay. I stay in PG. I pay 8k.per month but there are cheaper ones available

There is NIEAA ( NIE alumni association) that keeps on helping us and guiding us

Exam Structure

No, inspite of exams and labs the schedule is prepared in such a way that it gives time for us to relax.

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths. Overall the college is good

I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k .
