The college has great atmosphere and by the end of four years it makes sure that you are ready to face the world and become successful.

Entrance Preview

I wrote Karnataka CET to enter this college. It also accepts students via COMED-K. There are no interview processes. I chose mechanical as I was interested in it and also its considered to be the top branch of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

NIE has the best facilities for a mechanical engineering student in all of Karnataka. The teachers are highly qualified and highly experienced.

Internships Opportunities

I'm not sure about it. But the seniors tell the internships are really good. The stipend amount is also really good and quite high.

Placement Experience

The average salary is 6 lacs per annum and 70% get placed every year. Many good companies like Amazon, Infosys, Mercedes, etc come to recruit students

A lot of events takes place every year and the major one is TechNIEks where more than 20000 people attend the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is very much affordable since its aided to the Govt. of Karnataka. Excluding hostel fee, it costs you around 35k for aided seat and 65k for an unaided seat

Hostel Facilities

Girls have the best facilities for staying in the while state. They don't need to worry about anything. But boys hostel is very old and quite dirty with very less number of bathrooms.

Exam Structure

We have 3 tests for three months. One in each month for 25 marks for each subject. We call it internals. The best 2 scores are considered for the final score. After all the internals, we have lab exams and after that final exams. It's not all tiring if we are always on the top of the syllabus.

The standard of teaching here is very high. The teachers are highly qualified and highly experienced. They are very interactive and always approachable. They always want the students to give their best in everything.

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths. I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k .
