Remarks

Teachers are well qualified and experienced. Student quality is very good. All the labs are very well equipped. Library is very good. Campus is a little-bit small. Canteen food is not that much good.

Entrance Preview

I got admission through score of JEE mains. Admission are done through a centralized process. The institute take admission on the basis of either JEE mains or MHTCET. As this is one of the best college in Pune, you have to score high and get a good rank to land in this college. There is not any Interview Process that is followed. Admission is based on merit.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Computer Engineering. Here at PICT there are only three branches, so the quality is to be maintained. PICT is well known college in Pune. Learning process is good at PICT. All the labs are well equipped. Practical Learning is what on which PICT focus a lot.

Internships Opportunities

PICT do provide internship opportunities to students. As an FE student I have not done any internship till now but our teachers always tell us the importance of doing internship.

Placement Experience

Placement is what PICT is known for. Placement are very good. Around 95% got placed. Major companies are Rakutan, Morgan Stanley, Symantec, Veritas, and more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees here at PICT is no so high. For Open candidate it is approximately 90000. For OBC it is 50000, and for SC, ST it is very low.

Faculty

Faculty is very good and supportive. As I am a FE student I know more about FE faculty but my seniors tell us that faculty has very good knowledge of the subject. Teachers are well qualified and have a good teaching experience. One mam who teaches us maths have around 26 years experience.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

An Honest review of PICT

I applied and got admitted into Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - B.Tech in Computer Science. I chose PICT over VIT because of many factors : placements and internship opportunities, coding culture, campus life and overall studies. PICT is better in almost every aspect than VIT except some college life and syllabus strictness. Yes, I applied to COEP and VJTI but didn't get expected branch due to less marks in my JEE Mains. I also got rejected by IIST, IITs, RGIPT, BITS because I got less than 75% in my boards which didn't satisfy the eligibility criteria. I got into PICT by JEE Mains. The last cutoff for JEE Mains is 97.5 %ile to get ENTC in PICT. You require 99%ile+ in MHT-CET to get into PICT....Read More
