Our collage has well build campus area with good cycle stand.
Faculties of our collage are well educated with sound knowledge of subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is of diploma level of engineering. We have to study around 30 subjects in 3 years of course. The faculty and students ratio is 40:1. As it is a government college so the faculty members are hired by the government. We have to give semester exams every 6 months & it is not too tough to qualify.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college so the college fees are not too much, we just have to give the semester fees every 6 months, They also off SVMCM and many other scholarships to the students. Also, the college campus is very good, I just got 3 jobs in my 6th semester.

Campus Life

In we celebrate the annual fest every year around March or February, and we also do industrial visits. There is a library also for the students. We also organize an annual sports day. Don't have enough knowledge about the social group, clubs, or websites.

Eligibility - must qualify for secondary education (10th) or voclet then you have to give an entrance exam named JEXPO, after qualifying for the exam you will get into College according to your rank, All the applications form, fees, and key dates are available on the website of West Bengal state council technical education.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in the final year of the diploma course. Most companies like Wipro TCS visit our college. The average package is 5 lahks and 90 percent of students got placed in every branch.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

From 5th semester students are eligible for campusing. Badve autotech pvt ltd. A1 fence products pvt. Ltd. Crescent foundry and so many companies are visited our campus and offerd almost every students for job.the highest package is 1.80 lpa and lowest is 1.44 lpa. There re almost 60 percent students are placed and rests are getting prepare for next campusing.My plan is doing job after completing this degree.

You have to crack the entrance exam in West Bengal which is Jexpo to get admission to this college. You have to rank under 13000 to get into this college. Top Placement in 2020 for Metallurgy and Mechanical students.

After 12th I have appeared for the Jexpo exam then securing a good rank and through counselling, I get this college and Choose metallurgical engineering. If anyone wants to join after the 10th they should follow the same process. if anyone wants to join after ITI then they have to appear for the Voclet exam. EIJE is best for Mechanical and Metallurgy students

To get this college you have to score in Jexpo exam for 3 years Diploma program and voclet exam for 2 years Diploma after ITI and as per your last qualification you have to score minimum 45% in science. I have applied few more colleges but i choose it and Metaluurgy department becuase of its placement history and reputation also Howrah is better option for me than going to other areas.
