Remarks

After 12th I have appeared for the Jexpo exam then securing a good rank and through counselling, I get this college and Choose metallurgical engineering. If anyone wants to join after the 10th they should follow the same process. if anyone wants to join after ITI then they have to appear for the Voclet exam. No age limits are there but your last qualification must contain 45% in science. one day college will ask you to appear for physical verification and at that time you should submit all documents. Don't worry admission process is simple.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Metallurgical Engineering course curriculum is very vast and lots of experiments are there. All faculties are very helpful and having a higher degree of M-Tech and PhD also. They have industrial experience also which is helpful for us. The Student-Teacher ratio is good. Every year we have two sem and the question quality is tough.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Placement Experience

I want highlight placement details here - the following companies came for placement: - L&T, JSPL, Vesuvius, Kiswok Industries, SRMB TMT, Bharat Engineering Limited, BRGD Ingot Pvt Ltd, Patil, Reshmi Metaliks, Tata Metaliks (Kharagpur). All this companies offer average 15000/month some offers more than 16000/month. For getting job students must maintain 75% attendance and a 7.5 CGPA minimum. I have not taken any job because I am doing B-tech now on Metallurgy.

Fees and Financial Aid

For genral candidates 5000/per year cost and for Sc St only 1000/per year, so this is very low cost. If any student need any scholarship and meet the criteria they provide that and finacial assistance also provided. Placement organised for 3rd year students.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is very good. No Ragging No politics. Classrooms are moderate. Books are provided by the book bank for every sem. All kinds of programs like fest, tech fest, freshers welcome, farewell for passing out candidates, Vishwakarma puja, Saraswati puja all are arranged by the college authority.

One of the best college for metallurgy engineering

You have to crack the entrance exam in West Bengal which is Jexpo to get admission to this college. You have to rank under 13000 to get into this college. After this they gave a date for counselling, I have selected a Diploma in metallurgy in Engineering institute for junior executives. EIJE is best for Mechanical and Metallurgy students

To get this college you have to score in Jexpo exam for 3 years Diploma program and voclet exam for 2 years Diploma after ITI and as per your last qualification you have to score minimum 45% in science. I have applied few more colleges but i choose it and Metaluurgy department becuase of its placement history and reputation also Howrah is better option for me than going to other areas.
