Remarks
You have to crack the entrance exam in West Bengal which is Jexpo to get admission to this college. You have to rank under 13000 to get into this college. After this they gave a date for counselling, I have selected a Diploma in metallurgy in Engineering institute for junior executives. After the result of the counselling was declared I was informed that I got a chance to get admission for the course in this college. They gave me a date to bring all my origin and xerox documents with me for verification.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Metallurgy because I have an interest in manufacturing technology and research work in material development. The students and teachers ratio are about 1:16 so it is well. Our respected teachers gave me support and help also motivated me to go for higher studies further. They are teaching methods are very good, they have too many experiences in industry and teaching. Some of them have PhD and MTech degrees from nit or equivalent institutes. Every year we have to give two semesters along with practical exams.
Internships Opportunities
The college will provide an internship with recommendations. Some faculties are there who will help you to get internships in sail, kiswok industries etc. also seniors are very helpful to provide internships. You have to make a project on the training and give a presentation to the college this is will help you in upcoming interviews.
Placement Experience
Tata metallic, JSL, JSW, JSPL, Trishan metals private ltd, kiswok industries ltd, reshmi metal, Wipro etc visited in our college. more than 10 companies visit for the batch strength of 55. company offer CTC ranging from minimum of 1 lacs to 3 lacs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are very low and they provide scholarships to qualifying candidates and provide financial help if anyone needs that. Yavashree, kanyashree, svmcs and other facilities are there. They offered placement in between 5th and 6th sem.
Campus Life
The campus is huge and all around only green and green. Classrooms need some repairing and lights.No Wi-Fi is there. But the labs are well. semester books are provided by the library which is good enough. All types of cultural activities like freshers welcome, social for farewell the passouts, Biswakarma puja, Saraswati puja, Festival etc arranged by the college authority.
