Remarks

Not good college to do engineering from. As far as possible, avoid the college for engineering. Faculty is non cooperative, At many times they will make you realise that you belong to a different group. They are not concerned with placements.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for MH-CET exam in 2009. AICTE highlighted that, college is good for IT, Computer and Mechanical. But for E&TC it is not good. No interview process. The low fees compared to its peer was the main reason for preferring this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Below average. But practical learning was good, compared to other engineering colleges. No research initiative at all. Hardly 2/3 electives. Faculty did not guide in elective selection.

Internships Opportunities

No internship provided by college. But students were told its important. Hence most of us did internship on our own, without any stipend.

Placement Experience

Again, below average. Hardly two companies came for core electronics job. Rest moved to IT sector. Faculty was least interested in placements. 40% student got placed. Infosys, TTL, KPIT, Mu Sigma visited college. Average package was Rs 3.5 lac.

College Events

Versatalia, MESA were organised in college. Average footfall was around 1000 people. Students from other universities, cities also participated. These were national level events.College contribution was null.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Rs 55,000 per year. Total around Rs 2,20,000. At the end of course, Rs 5,000 was refunded. Being the private college, fees of college was minimum compared to any other Engineering college.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship at all. But state government provided scholarship for few reserved candidate students.

Campus Life

not much. below average. due to bad organising, even extracurricular activities were stopped getting support from college.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. 3 students per room in hostel. Hostel was good. And so was mess. Hostel Fees RS 26,000 for 1 year including mess fees for 3 months. In the year 2009.

Alumni/Alumna

hardly exists. not much support. even if network is present, there is lot of group-ism.

Exam Structure

Yes. Practical emphasis was very heavy. This was the best thing about the college.

Faculty

Faculty was average. especially HoD Sir was outstanding. Not much interactive. Only 5 to 6 subjects were handled with expertise. Low standard of teaching.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement of this college is average, average package is 4.5 lpa most of the students are eligible from semester 7 The companies like Capgemini, Accenture, mind space, LTI, siemens, eclerx ,etc visited to college campus. In recent mind space give place about 12 lpa. Placement percentage is 80 percentage After getting degree my plan is for higher studies.

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

i had seen Companies visiting like Entrata, Airtel, Honeywell etc..... Highest package till now for currently year is 15 lacks. I had also seen students who are doing interships and are placed there only.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

I chose this college because this college is very reputed in Pune for engineering specially electrical engineering. Admission process - You should apply through CAP process to get admission in this college. MHTCET + JEE, both scores can get you admitted in this college as there is also an all India quota. After the CAP processes are completed, you can also attend it's spot round as they are also conducted in a very systematic manner. Why this college over others? Pune vidyarthi gruha college of engineering and technology (pvgcoet) a overall great college with affordable fees

This is one of the top colleges In pune. This was the reason for me to choose this college. Comparing pvg with colleges like aissms, dy patil, modern, and many more pvg is far better in terms of placements. Didn't had the marks required to get to other colleges like vit viit pict coep pccoe etc so I choose pvg. I got a confirmed admission for keystone college but it is worse that pvg so I chose pvg. To get admission in pvg college you need to fill a form of cet. Mht cet is one of these examples. If you have passed 12th standard then apply for mht cet.
