Course Curriculum Overview

3

actually i was going to take cs branch but in ladakh it has only civil mechanical and electrical job oppurtunities so i opt to take this branch but i am shocked to see 77 students in my class while in others college i see low strength . so you can think of taking admission for civil. there are other curriculum activities like physical education and photography class design thinking class . but dont expect like high fi things . keep expectations low on these things . they are still following the same old technique in some fields they should improve in those segments and teaching methods . the timing is from 9:15 to 4:15 in between you will get 15 min. short break and 45 min. lunch break exam timing are 1 hour for cae and for end sem its 2:30 hour.

Internships Opportunities

3

The college have mandatiry summer internships in which you have to complete it after 6th semester for often (4-6) . for mostly core branches the entire 7th semester; (beginning of final year) weeks that is mandatory industrial internship period which is often dedicated to 6 month industrial internship or project . this is major part of your career and pre- placement offers. The main companies that visit for campus recruitment are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, TECH MAHINDRA, AMAZON, IBM, HP for tech branch and companies like TATA TECHNOLOGIES, BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT cone for core branch placement . students work on workshop like developing websites , apps and many more.

Placement Experience

3

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

Fees and Financial Aid

here in gh raisoni engineering college there is no system for donation and all. Here the fee structure is different for maharashtra students and differnet for non maharshtra student. here the total fees of college is 157720 for oms ('remeber this fees is for oms student even if you take admission through maharashtra cet cell exam or direct'). my friend is from maharashtra so his fees is 150000 but maharshtra student gets a scholarship of some amount so my friend effective price after scholarship is 97000 which amount is directly adjusted in college account records. here here is the fees breakdown tuition fee: 116087 development fee: 17413 student insurance fee: 701 admin regulation authority fee: 2000 student activity : 1000 university prorata fee : 339 alumini fund : 2000 skill development and employability assessment fee : 2000 university eligibility fee : 650 student membership fee : 1000 examination fee : 8500 books : 6000 college fees is generally varies about 10k to 15k year wise so you can think of 10 to 20 k max. scholarship is available for maharashta students (MAHA DBT) which covers 50% of tuition fees for sc / st students of maharashtra fees is same as other students but some seats are reserved for them basically oms students dont get any scholarship but if you have domicile of maharashtra then you will also get scholarship amount .but you can apply for private or nsp if you are havinfg the criteria required

Campus Life

4

Dont stay in the fomo of high level fests and all you can expect to have low level holistic fests like diwali and dandia celebration but for that also you have to take college hostel, suppose if you are taking pg outside the you are not allowed to attend the fests. on college level they will mostly give holiday on festivas and govt. holiday, but here there is good environment of clubs where you can join and learn things but there is mostly tech clubs and very less art craft clubs; which is not useful in engineering. the books are available in library but it does not have above syllabus books like new techs and all. sports and extra corricular things are available which you will get attendance. so you can focus on other things also with studies .

Hostel Facilities

4

most of the students opt to stay out because you get the things same or better on outer area which is near to college in lower price suppose if you take college you have to pay 150000 but if you stay out then your yearly expenses is 80 to 90 with good accomodation but you will get things done in 60 to 70 if you dont want wifi enabled, washing machine facilities. getting on college hostel you get 4 student sharing room you get one common fan one table fan per head, one table and chair per head and attached batroom and washroom(separate) for 4 student. the meal quality is good but only veg is there. menu also changes and taste per maharashtra point of good;(my friend said as i dont khow how maharashta food tastes), registration process is as they take hostel fees in one time installment for whole year smoothly . but pg are also good option near by but there is fear of getting exposed to bad habits so parents are opting for college hostel even if it is costly.

Admission

I first thought to join lpu and wrote plunest exam but after getting the review i cancelled the admission even after paying 10000 rs seat reservation fee . but basically my jee got blanked. i wrote cuet and comedk and mhtcet through which i got admission in pune . i comedk and cuet my marks were low but in councelling also i got low colleges. in my current college you can take admission of gh raisoni engineering college wagholi pune through mht cet and jee. You can apply for mhtcet councelling even if you didnt applied for mhtcet exam but you have to pay 1000 fee. but the admission is very long and it takes till sept. for admission completion . cutoff for civil was 72% in mhtcet. experiance was very hactic of councelling you have to updated every date during councelling.

Faculty

3

faculy facilities do vary from branch to branch as per my experience my branch is civil so the faculties are not that much polished, they have experiance but they are not updated with the current trend. but I heard faculty for tech branch is good as 1st year. faculties just keep the mindset of completing the syllabus beacuse in nbetween many exams happen.I personally liked BEE faculty and UHV and photography faculty. I disliked the faculty of mathematics and chemistry they use the old technique to teach . college does offer side hustles for tech branch like hackathon and tech events. exams structure breakdown. CAE1 : 20 MARKS TAE1 : 10 MARKS CAE 2 : 10 MARKS CAE2 : 20 MARKS END SEM = 60 MARKS Cae is taken average to make it out of 20 and tae are added as it is tae is basically teacher assignment and cae is exam of test which is taken in exam hall and trust me exams management is very strict....

Night Life

3

After college some students stay in college for group discussions and some just by having conversations with friends and couples in gardens and in cafeteria. You can expect a good interaction with girls if you are a boy. students are from other states also so you will get exposure also. college is not strict if couples are going together of boys girls are staying in classroom together . college doesnt have gym but if you take hostel then you will get access to GYM, SWIMMING POOL . yes you get swimming + gym in hostel with Rs115000 yearly. Hostel is in college campus so it is convenient to go to college it is not even 200 meter . in college cafe and turf and garden are there where you can relax and hangout with friends but dont expect too much big area. Area of college is 5 to 6 acres including boys and girls hostel.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
