What Students Say

Likes

The hostel rooms here are very good and there is a regular cleaning as well
Teachers are good and help us in excelling in our studies
Placements are impressive and are only getting better

Dislikes

The campus is too small and there is no night life.
The college management is too strict regarding exams
There a lot of restrictions and timings for not leaving the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is well updated and the teachers here are experienced in their respective fields as well. The pacing of the exams and the semester were a bit slow, although it only helped us grow. I personally found the placements at this college interesting and good enough.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Boeing give internship opportunities. There are summer internships being provided by different Companies (mostly startups) which are not bad. One should be well-versed to get an internship and most ordinary students don't get a very good package here in internships.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester. The placements here are good enough only if you are good enough to crack it. Companies like Visa, Twilio, cisco, and many others. The placements here are nearly up to 90-95% which is pretty decent. The highest package was of 55 lakhs bagged by a senior in pallo alto. The average package is 12 lakhs for cse and ise and overall it's 8 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees they take here for comedk students are higher than that of kcet students. Although recently courses on cyber security and Coursera have also been provided, which provide us with good opportunities. Students of Karnataka have a lot of scholarships being provided by the government and many students have availed them as well.

Campus Life

There are a total of around 6 clubs in NIE in various fields. There are 3 technical clubs right now and another one is being added which will be including 1st-year students. The sports facilities are not very good over here. Very basic facilities only have been provided here. Although there's a good enough cricket ground with net practice and an outdoor badminton and basketball court(on north campus).

Admission

I personally took admission into college through comedk with a pretty decent rank. You can check out the application form on comedk's official website. The overall admission process has some loopholes. Like they take a total of 2,42,000 at the beginning of 2nd round itself which sums up a lot(in comedk).

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

Placement Experience:

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths. I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k .
