Course Curriculum Overview
I have dreamed of being a part of ONGC so I did choose this course. There are approx 30-35 students in our branch and the faculty-student ratio is approx 1:2 or 2:3. All of our faculties are highly qualified and genius. Most of them are graduated from abroad. The teaching method is very good and they are helping students in every possible way. The exams are very tough I would say. Scoring an 8.5 CGPA is a challenge for most of the students.
Internships Opportunities
I am in my first year so basically, I do have not enough idea about the internship and placement criteria. Approx 200-300 companies are there for the placements and internships. And in the final year, you will be asked a grand viva.
Placement Experience
Normally the final year students get placements. If there's no on-campus placement then there will be some off-campus placements you can prove your skills to them and can get the job. If you ask me my primary goal is ONGC.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is around 80 thousand and there's no TWF scheme for this branch students and no amount will be deducted from lower caste students. There is various scholarship and financial assistance there you can achieve those.
Campus Life
If you are in nitr then you will enjoy a fest every 2-3 months. There is a huge library called Biju Pattnaik Library sometimes called central library where you can find most of the books of your course. The classroom is air conditioned with advanced technology.
Admission
First of all, you have to clear the JEE Exam and the minimum cutoff for this branch goes around 90 percentile for general, and for other castes, it decreases to some extent. After allotment, you have to go through the admission process. For this college, you have to go through the Nitris portal where your entire application regarding admission to this college will be completed. Then you have to be present in the college for physical verification. The admission is totally based on a first come first serve process. The only improvement I want to see in the admission process is that the admission process should be faster. Usually, it takes more time than usual. Hope I have cleared all of the things.
