Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I'm interested to know how our electronics work and how we connect throughout the world with signals. The faculties are very good and always support you. If you have any problem they are always ready to help. The faculties have finished their M.tech/MS (Most of them). A few of them hold a PhD too. The exams are held every 1.5 months (2 Internals). The assignment marks will be given through tests, quizzes or by answering questions in a book. There are Lab internals and Externals after which the Semester End Exams are conducted. The difficulty of the question depends on your preparation, usually, it's of medium difficulty. There will be projects to work on after every semester which are also important.
Internships Opportunities
Bosch is one of the companies that give internships with a stipend of 30000. The projects done during the 4 years will be considered (can group or individual). If any of your ideas get funded by the government, the chances of you getting placed in the same company increase with an increase in the salary package.
Placement Experience
The campus placements are really good. There are domestic and international placements. Companies like IBM, TATA, Amazon, EY etc come to the campus for selection. A few companies come for selection in the 6th semester and provide internships. Almost all the students are placed and a few of them go for higher studies. The college encourages a startup culture. The highest package is 58 LPA and the median package is 5.50 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of studying is pretty high. The fees are increased every year (for every new batch). For students who belong to agricultural backgrounds, scholarships are provided by the state. You can work part-time, and the faculties will be supportive (advised only if you can manage both academics and work).
Campus Life
The campus is lush green and there are open spaces where you can sit and enjoy nature. It is very peaceful. Not many events are conducted, they aren't conducted very frequently but this year, Revotsava was conducted. Social life is pretty much happening. The library is the best. Books on most of the topics can be found. There is one Central library and there are librarians for each department in their respective blocks. The classrooms have a smart board, they are well-ventilated. There are many sports events that take place. This year there was a REVA premier league for Kabbadi, Football Cricket etc. Each department has its own clubs and all of them are run by the students. Seniors are very supportive and helpful.
Admission
To join ECE in REVA, the procedure is very smooth. There are 4 ways to join the college. 1. KCET 2. REVA-CET 3.Management Quota 4. Sports Quota. For International students, the addmission process is a little different. You can see the full details about admissions on the website www.reva.edu.in. REVACET is conducted in the month of April or May and based on the marks, counselling is given. Government Scholarships are provided. The staff is very friendly and professional.
