Placement is good, fee is affordable, location is good

Mess is not good, wait in queqe for food.
Location is very outskirts. Many facilities like shops are not upto the mark

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in the civil engineering department. The ratio of boys: to girls was 60:40. Teachers were mostly local. They were hard laborers. But some teachers were good & some are not. The exam was on exact time as it was conducted by Biju Patnaik University. The syllabus is tough and the exam is also tough. Rest everything is ok.

Internships Opportunities

Companies training are given for students. Students may choose their own. I was trained in Gammon India Ltd. in my final year. Stipend is not provided. You have to spend your own money on food & transportation.

Placement Experience

From 5 th semester campus placement starts. TCS, Infosys, Essar, Maura's, and many more companies come for placement and take students in huge nos. 80% get placements. Work with a reputed organization. Al lasts almost every student gets placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for 1 year is almost 60000 and for the remaining yrs, it is 36500 per year. The hostel charge is 6500. The hostel is good. hygienic. Campus placement is done every year starting from 3 Rd year. Many students get selected.

Campus Life

The annual fest is conducted every year in the month of February. A library facility is available. The Bank facility is there. The gymnasium is there. Classrooms are normal. Clubs are not available. The canteen is there. Very spacious.

Admission

I am a b.tech civil engineer from oec Bhubaneswar. This is a good college. provides placement with reputed companies. Also, it takes a very less fee as compared to other private colleges. This is the very oldest college in Orissa. The college is very close to Khurda.

Placement Experience:

First Source, Mindtree, Google and various names of IT which are dream jobs for anyone our university ensured that we atleast have a chance to get that. Ofcourse the requirements were less but our students with the skillset they had 80% of them had placements through campus including me.

Placement is good average package is 8-9 lpa and above 85% student is placed last year with good package and few get less bocz of some reason. I fully do not agree on average package bcoz the fee of 4 year is about 20 lakhs including hostel and mess and other all the things

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

An Honest Review of My college Experience

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visited to our college like Tata,Wipro, TCS, Infosys and Accenture etc . Our highest package in computer science is 1200000 per annum and Average package is 500000 per annum. Percentage of students getting placement is actually varies by year and course and average 40 to 50% students get the placement offers . My plan is qualifying gate with a good rank and do my higher study mtech.

Placement Experience:

In KIIT there is a good placement in our 7th semester most company visit for recurite like Amazon, infosys,flipkart, deloite etc.And in KIIT highest package was 52LPA and average package around 7-8 lakhs ,and nearly 95% student placed and remaning student looking for higher studies .I plan to do after this course if i got decent package then i acept it otherwise im doing master in ai or data science . And after master im looking for better job in my dream company in top countrys like u.s and germany.

In 6th semester, Placement opportunities are available and the criteria is more than 7.0 CGPA,No backlog. Based on the company criteria Many companies like TCS,Tech Mahindra, Wipro,Q-spider, Flipkart, Infosys, Aditya Birla group and 50+ others companies,No offers more than 330+ 75% of students are placed. OEC- college worth every penny

The admission process was quite simple. Just needed to appear the counselling session of ojee. One can choose ojee marks or jee mains marks for appearing in counselling. Everything was done online. The eligibility of the mentioned course was passed 12th with physics, chemistry and math with an aggregate of 45% and overall percentage more than 60%. The application form of ojee and jee mains can be found in their respective websites. Application fees of both the exams are different. Then after the results, one have to apply for the counselling process in which you have to select different colleges and different courses of your choice in your preferred serial number. And then the choices have to be locked by visiting the ojee counselling nodal center. And once any college and course have been alloted one has to visit the respective college sites for document verification and payment of fees. Condition of my college today

Placements are good untill last year this year it's impossible to tell whether the college will continue or not because the director Suprita Pattnaik takes the fees from the students from time to time but don't care about them after that even in the worst conditions like the just passed cyclone fani which almost destroyed the college she came the other day only to see what damage occured in the building and she didn't cared if the students are alive or dead...Read More
