Remarks

This is the 1st private college and good facility. Faculty of cse is good and the surroundings are better than another college. OJEE is the exam through which student gets admission. I got the information from some students who passed out from this college so I decided to go there.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like the course and the CS branch is good for me because I am good at programming. In our college cse branch having 120 students and the qualifications of the faculty is awesome here. But takes out an exam.

Course Fees: INR 2021 per year

Internships Opportunities

Biju's, Wipro, Mind Tree is the company coming in my college including TCS. The students get good placement here and good package. They demand one project and one internship in any good company. Good placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are not so high they take 1,00,000 every year including mess fees transportation and hostel fees. They give a good facility for everything. They give no scholarship take half money in one semester and take full money in last.

Campus Life

The annual festival is organized every year in the month of Feb and many celebrities come and too much fun over here. Classrooms are big and sports and the technical fest is the best festival at my college.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fees are good and we got the facility of everything like a balcony and mess and study table, internet. Food is better. Hostel faculty is good and mess facility is best and the surroundings are better.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Interview Experience

I prepare for these exams from youtube by following tips from net or seniors. Give OJEE and get the admission in the college or by direct admission. College is good and faculty is best. Interview questions can be anything.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

IIITB is best!

Placement Experience:

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

Placement are descent enogh. After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement drive and become eligible for internships in 2nd year itself. Highest paid CTC was 39LPA and average package is around 10 LPA.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.

First experience of iiit bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship officially from 3rd yr and for placements 7th semester onwards. Recently oracle has visited and 4-6 gote in there with 26 LPA . Zscalara was also there around 15 LPA . Percentage last year was 80-85 ig. I think I will join as a software developer along with a carrier in photography but let's see what happens.

OEC- college worth every penny

The admission process was quite simple. Just needed to appear the counselling session of ojee. One can choose ojee marks or jee mains marks for appearing in counselling. Everything was done online. The eligibility of the mentioned course was passed 12th with physics, chemistry and math with an aggregate of 45% and overall percentage more than 60%. The application form of ojee and jee mains can be found in their respective websites. Application fees of both the exams are different. Then after the results, one have to apply for the counselling process in which you have to select different colleges and different courses of your choice in your preferred serial number. And then the choices have to be locked by visiting the ojee counselling nodal center. And once any college and course have been alloted one has to visit the respective college sites for document verification and payment of fees. Condition of my college today
