Remarks

Management is very good & helpful to students. Through the combination of business and management acumen with technical expertise, engineering management degrees are designed to play a key role in preparing the next generation of managers in the engineering sector.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course was as per BPUT syllabus. Exam pattern is pretty good. They also conduct different seminars and certificate courses, etc. They also have different club activities in which they teach photography skills, sports, Adventurous Trips, Literature skills etc.

Placement Experience

4

Placement Wing, Not till now, since I'm in initial years of my five year course. But they do have placement cell where they guide students for PI and GDs. Faculties and Seniors are Really supportive. They guide at every single step when you need them. you can contact them via calls Emails sms anything. Facilities are alumni students from best of the county college. If you have any queries or anything you can easily contact faculty though emails, contact Directly to calls or Social Apps etc. Faculties have knowledge about their respective subjects and course.

College Events

3.5

Techno fest, quiz competition, robotics, dancing etc. are elebrated as cultural or religious festivals in academic institutions is a learning experience – students get to learn about the festival, the reason for the celebration and its significance, says a college faculty. The festivals provide an opportunity for students to respect and participate in events that are not their own. And, they also ensure that students get to showcase talents for instance, preparing pookalam on Onam eve, rendering songs or staging dance. Coimbatore college sources say this also promotes harmony among different sections of students, bridging the linguistic and regional barriers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible, they do provide concessions according to terms and policies of the university. Otherwise fees is quite feasible. Book bank is also available for student and library with good collections are available for students as well as facilities. Fees payment is easy, they accept in all form ie cheques, online payments as well as cash. Not till now, since I'm in initial years of my five year course. But they do have placement cell where they guide students for PI and GDs.

Fees and Financial Aid

I availed education loan from SBI. Just log on to Personal Banking section of the Internet Banking site with your credentials and select the "Home Loan Int. Cert (Prov)" link under "Enquiries" tab. Then select the account for which you require a Home Loan Interest Certificate. The certificate can be viewed online, printed or downloaded in pdf.

Campus Life

4

One main advantage of Extracurricular activities is enriching the CV and adding certificates to your file. It is desirable that activities are conducted in a serious manner and in the right spirit to reap their benefits. Extracurricular activities typically are useful in enhancing a student’s following skills apart from technical skills: Technical Leadership Interpersonal Communication: written, oral, articulation Time management Assertion Organizational Managerial Adaptabiltiy Professional attitude Positivity I have observed a drastic change in a student’s personality, at when students participate in activities or are members of various committees. This change definitely aids in getting better offers in the placement process. Many recruiting teams have also shared their feedback in the same direction.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No. I was in mess. But College hostel was good for outer students. Seniors might come to your room asking for help in organising and all and you might have to find a way to avoid it. But in general its a fun experience. Also you might be handling a position of responsibility (POR) or be a part of a club or two so you will be working per week accordingly.

Alumni/Alumna

Creating an engaged, supportive alumni network is crucial to an institution’s success. If communication stops once graduates leave an institution, their understanding of the university will become stale. Instead, they should be kept informed so they can remain engaged and keep abreast on the progress of the university. Good alumni relationships bring many benefits to both the institution and the alumni. Here we speak to HE professionals who work in Alumni Relations about the benefits of maintaining an engaged alumni network and how the market is changing.

Admission

I joined hrough Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (O-JEE) rank but now it's JEE Main& Advanced. For the 2009–2010 academic session, the Committee conducted the Joint Entrance Examination for admission to Undergraduate Courses in (also Lateral Entry) Engineering.

Faculty

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
