- Placement is not that good with students.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had an interest in physics during my 12th class which led me to opt for mechanical engineering. The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:15. Which I think is not bad in fairly big colleges. Most of the faculty members are Mtech graduates while some have even completed their Ph.D. too.
Internships Opportunities
I got an internship at vegan solutions and the stipend offered was 11500. I worked on deeply learning-based fault detection in Machine equipment. The objective was to develop an approach to detect and build a deep learning model for finding faults in Machine equipment and also to overcome the scarcity of data to train such models.
Placement Experience
After completion of the 6th semester, we can start with placements. But the scenario for mechanical engineering is not so good. But still, I was placed in 1 of the company but due to economic turmoil, my offer was revoked.
Fees and Financial Aid
If applied through kcet then obviously the fees are too less compared to others. There are aided seats also which just take 15000 rupees as tuition fees. There is also a state-funded SSP scholarship available.
Campus Life
Unfortunately, because most of my journey through this college was in covid so I couldn't experience any fest as such but I have heard that every year a fest named "Pleadis" is conducted. And most of the facilities are available and are maintained at good standards. Even social clubs are funded and maintained well.
Admission
I had taken KCET which comes under the Karnataka government. The process was very smooth. We have to just pass the 12th exam from any of the Karnataka board-approved colleges. There are also different reservation benefits available.
