What Students Say

Likes

Weather and beautiful scenes of nature as well as the monkeys.
The sports facilites and the infrastructure is really good.
The faculties are super helpful and they interact with students really well.

Dislikes

The mess menu changes sometimes suddenly.
The schedules can be hectic sometimes specially during exams.
Interaction with the seniors is not so strong here

Course Curriculum Overview

I was very interested in Artificial Intelligence, which is why I chose this course. Per 40 students we have a teacher who is really good at teaching they also do provide notes and lecture video s making it super helpful for students to complete the syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

Recently KIMO offered an internship with a stipend of 15000 per month. Before that Samsung offered the internship their standard stipend. Some of the projects on web applications and Android development can help you to clarify.

Placement Experience

The placements in the college are good not very high not very low. The average package is around 13 lakh per annum and the highest of 55 lakh per annum has been taken. The preparation for higher studies from this college can be pretty smooth. A lot of our alumni are now in foreign universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is standard and very much affordable for a middle-class student. Various types of scholarships are also given. There is no fee for SC/ST students only hostel fees and mess charges are there. The return on investment is really well here.

Campus Life

Campus life is really good. The exposure of students from all over India and foreign countries as well makes life more interactive. The library is awesome and full of lots of books on various topics. The sports facilities are also really good, especially the volleyball team.

Hostel Facilities

The infrastructure of the hostels and academic buildings is really good as they are recently built. The mess food is much better than any other collages that I have heard of. The registration process is very simple. We are provided with one room with two beds and two cupboards.

Hostel Fee: INR 76000 per year

Admission

I took JEE mains. My percentile was 98. The Eligibility for the course was different depending on their caste. I was from OBC. The admission process was pretty smooth but I would love to see if more people connect with students to help them regarding their documents and caste certificates issued.

Your Concise review and guide to nit trichy

Placement Experience:

The students start sitting for placement from 6th semester i.e the end of third year itself, while many students start getting job offers at the start of 7th semester itself. The placememt percentage here is very good it is around 90% amd the average placement for 2025 placement session is around 15.76 lakh or maybe higher since results are not made available to us ye, the highest offer is around 55lakh+ according to some fourth year students. The number of companies visiting us are many; they include tech giants such as google,microsoft,amazon, sony, samsung, NVIDIA, quolcomm, AMD, Yahoo and highliting companies are Ceat, Volvo, Wolkswagen, LT, Bosch, mcafee and the list goes on and on and on. i plan on getting a job and then going for higher studies in a foreign university.

avg package is 12.56 lakh in mechanical branch placements is overall very good above than 87% . highest was around 62 lakhs but in circuital branch . i want a good hand salary job after that i want to give rest to my parents .

NIT TRICHY- COLLEGE REVIEW

Placement Experience:

The placements are the best part of this college. This college provides a very good placements both on and off campus to its students the placement percentage is also very good for all the branches ofcourse the placement packages are higher for students of CSE AND ECE branches but others also get a very good package. Students get eligible for placements from the 4th year some even get a PPO from the company they do their intership at in the third year. Big and Prominent comapnies visit our college such as Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Tata Steel, Qualcom, NVIDIA and more recently they gave around 900 offers to the students the highest package was aroung 65 lpa and the average package stood at 16 lpa for the college which is very good as compared to other colleges. The student placement percentage is also very good where aroung 85-90 percent of the students gets placed evey year in defferent sectors like software, Data Science, Management and Core sectors of their branch.

I applied to NIT CALICUT NIT SURATKAL, NIT TRICHY. For my trial round i got nit suratkal for EEE. But i shifted it to down and kept iiitdmk up..I chose this as it was the only college with Smart Manufacturing. Course and i was intrested in the way the curriculum was set including Cs,ece,eee Nd mechanical.As my jee score was not great to enter cse courses in nit calicut i got rejected there.
