- Taking away our badges if we leave from the programme for genuine reasons.
- It is more like a school than a college. Even students behave like children.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is out-of-date and does not provide us with any real-world work experience for employment prospects. Only one department receives 100% placement as the rest of the courses does not provide any hands-on experience. Due to the recruiters' preference for candidates with a background in computer science, opportunities for other departments are very less unless the student possesses technical skills. The faculties are approachable. Semester exams are conducted as per the schedule and the results are published without any delay. Kindly maintain good academic records or else the student will be taunted throughout the semester.
Placement Experience :
There are placement opportunities provided for the final years. Mainly the recruiters are from IT companies and they only require candidates from a computer science background but they do include other departments for the initial process. Only one department gets 100% placements. The highest package that came to our college was 3.3L. In conclusion, placement opportunities are poor for most of the departments. Since the curriculum itself is outdated, the job opportunities after graduation are poor. The placement cell will ask the student to register for the opponents for a certain amount units. Kindly do not register as these opportunities are shared in the main group.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarships are available but they never update the opportunities to the students on time. All the opportunities are disclosed towards the end of the deadline. For regular courses, the fees for each year is under 10,000 and for self - financing courses, you may refer to the college website. It is heard from other junior students that they ask for donations.
Campus Life :
Ever since the pandemic, the campus had a turnover. Annual fests were canceled. Social life for the science block is very poor. The department library contains only prescribed books for the course which is a disadvantage. For the final year project, it is very difficult for the students to find books related to their project as the teachers don't allow us to do a project on what we study. The college does provide many extracurricular activities but since the science block is far away from the main block, students often miss many opportunities. They do have many clubs but only 1-2 clubs operate.
Admission :
The eligibility and other details are mentioned on the college website. No requirement for an entrance exam. The admission process is smooth and fast compared to other colleges. Admissions are given purely based on merits.
