Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course to learn more about business and investments. The curriculum involves a wide variety of courses related to these topics. It gives a good idea about what happens in the business world, the securities market, what and all should be done to start a business and how to successful in them. Various workshops, seminars, etc, are conducted for this purpose. The exams should be slowed down, and the students should be given more time to prepare.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are two semesters in a year, and for each semester, we have to pay 20000. So in a year, it's 50000. The tuition fee is 150000, and as a caution fee, another 2000 should be paid. There is no extra payment as per different categories like management, etc. Every batch member pays the same fees, nothing less, nothing more.
Campus Life
A lot of programs are conducted by various clubs and the college for a full year. There are no specific months. Most of the month's programs are held. The library is vast and has a vast collection of all sorts of books required for learning and research. Any book can be borrowed from the library for how many days wanted. The classrooms have smart boards and are used by a lot of teachers. This is the best college for people looking for a lot of extracurricular and sports opportunities. Teresian iedc, Teresian media, English club, fashion club and a lot.
Admission
I applied to various colleges like Albert's College, Sacred Hearts College, etc. I chose this because it is the number one girls' college in Ernakulam. This college is known for its extracurricular activities and programs. The distance from my home, the fees everything was favourable hence i chose this college. I got rejected by one college. The reason I got rejected was that there were a lot of people who scored higher than me. There were colleges I rejected because, comparatively, my college was better in all ways. The admission process of my college is simple. There will be online forms. You should submit them online, and when the seats are available, the college will contact you, asking whether you want the seat or not. If yes, you will be asked to make a payment, and your seat will be secure. After some time, you will be called to verify your documents. The eligibility will be a good percentage of marks. If you are 12 pass you should atleast have an 80 Percent marks. For post graduates, I don't know what exams are accepted since I didn't do my post graduation there. The admission experience was smooth overall.
Faculty
In my department, there were more than 200 students, and there were over 20 teachers. Most of the teachers were good, but if I have to pick one, it would be Lakshmi mam. She was the sweetest but also the most resourceful teacher. The whole curriculum includes 6 semesters. The subjects are simple and exams are sometimes easy and sometimes not. 40 percent of marks are required to pass the exams. In a class, 90 percent would pass the exams. Only 10 percent fail in one or two subjects.
Night Life
This college is in the middle of the city. So a lot of places like marine drive, central mall, parks etc are there to unwind after a class. The college starts at 8:30 am and classes get over at 3 pm. The hostel gates close at 6 pm so you can go wherever you want in these 3 hours. A lot of hotels like Ruhmania which is famous for its biryani is close to this college. A lot of other shops where ladies can buy their accessories etc are also situated close to this college.
