Remarks

It is one of the good college for women. The course is very new and rare. Also the college is situated inside the city itself which make the transportation facility easier. This college also give due importance for extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

B. Voc Food Processing Technology functions under the Nodal Department of Home Science, St. Teresas College at present. The course is an undergraduate course based on higher education leading to B. Voc. degree, with multiple entry and exits as certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/ Degree under the National Skill Qualification Framework. The aim of this programme is to equip the young graduates with adequate knowledge and skills for employment and entrepreneurship in the food industry.

The placement opportunities provided by the college is a wide variety one. Many companies have been visited our college for placement programmes. Our alumni always take initiative incase of learning and other activities also. Internships are given to each student inorder to pursue their knowledge in each departments in the college. We have visited companies like Wipro, Amazon, TCS have visited our college and some students have made their place in these companies.

College Events

The campus life was an extraordinary one. Our college participated in inter college activities as well as intra departmental activities. There is variety of participation in each departmental programmes. All students are always engaged in each and every activities in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

St teresas college Ernakulam, a good atmosphere and a good social environment

Anyone who have completed 12th grade and has a aggreagate of 60% in cbse board are eligible for this course. After the cbse results are published, the admission form will be available at the college website. The fee for the admission form is below 500. The applicant should download the form and fill the necessary details and submit it online. After submission, if you are selected the management will contact you further. Then you have an interview where the management and the head of the department will ask you certain questions which are very easy to answer.
