Remarks

The college is very well in its every minor as well as a major aspect. But the playgrounds are supposed to be rejuvenated and boundaries are to be increased. Magnificent infrastructure, highly qualified staff, cooperative teaching & non-teaching staff.

Entrance Preview

Entrance exam while our 2015 batch admission period was IIT-JEE mains as a preliminary & IIT-JEE Advance as the next step. I wrote JEE mains scored well in it. Chose this college among the top priority colleges I wish to take admission in. Fortunately I was shortlisted in the 1st cap list. I've heard about the college, it's reputation, it's achievements & much more . There wasn't any interview, but the verification of documents said it all about the discipline & values of the college. I opted for IT, from the very early age I wish to become an IT engineer with some desires in mind, which made me to get closer to the course & hence I chose it.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good as was discussed and expected. It helps in learning new things thoroughly. The thing about we are concerned is the course was supposed to be designed in a way which will aim mainly on practical coding & programming. As we know IT is all about coding. Yes the research initiatives by institute are eye popping. A group from our Senior batch is working on the innovative project named as the "optimization in the time management of city bus depot". They are working on an application for this.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college help in getting the internship as well. The college also promotes the industrial visits to the nearby IT firms to be in touch for the corporate world.

Placement Experience

Placements for the college is very much striking. Almost 70-80 % of students gets placed annually from the IT department. The average package given was 5 lac. Major recruiters ere Infosys,TCS, IBIL,etc.

College Events

The college's strength lies among the extra curricular activities. Technical events like vishesh premier, perception, etc are held annually in the months of January or February. Cultural program is held with great joy, students enjoy a lot.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The institute is bit expensive comparatively. But it is worth the fees paid to the college. We guys have no regrets regarding the fees paid are gonna go in vain. The college fees are 1.25 lacs annually.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college doesn't provide any scholarship but the scrutiny office do. no I don't avail any type of scholarship. Yes the college help in availing educational loans from the banks.

Campus Life

The college is well known for the sports teams, recently volleyball teams of the college won university level matches which is a great achievement.

Hostel Facilities

No I don't reside in hostel. Yes I do have knowledge about the hostel rooms. The rooms were shared among 2 or 3 students. The hostel fee is around 60 thousands excluding the college fees. The food is good, at least up to the mark.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni get to interact with as in a well manner. Their experience & skills let us to reveal the corporate world.

Exam Structure

Nope the exams aren't that frequent which will make us feel tired. As we need to understand the fact that engineering is all about exams, assignments and more. We need to cop up with it. The exams are chill cultured but with no compromise in the overall discipline and decor of the examinations.

The staff is a very much qualified, skillful and experienced staff. The staff has a good interactions with the students which is always a two way interaction and with a fruitful outcome.

PES College of Engineering: Overview of the college

Likes

The campus of the college is vast with a natural environment
Many facilities like library, sophisticated labs, and classrooms are provided by the college
The Teachers cover each and every point of the syllabus and guide the students.

Dislikes

The syllabus is a little bit outdated, that is some points in the syllabus may seems boring and not applicable in the real world.
The Teachers should use the right techniques for teaching which makes the students more engaging in the class.
The menu of the canteen must contain some health option in a budget friendly way.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Likes

I really liked the infrastructure of the college its very nice and has good environment .
DPCOE is famous for its sports , it has massive turf where kids of 4 to 5 age has their matches
Also i like my department , as i am an automobile engineering we need most practical knowledge , this college offers a big workshop just for us an also yearly event for automobile students . Also clubs are there which has reputation of national rank

Dislikes

I kind of felt that faculty can be biased sometimes also do not care what and how we want to study .
Watchman can be little rude sometimes , also informing that their are exam coming in next week are to be informed at leat 10 days before. I have a suggestion of preparing acadamic calender of year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

College campus, it is big, not much conjusted, good nature friendly
Freedom upto some level, no uniforms, no ID compulsion unless it is an exam
Events,every now and then there are events in college, cultural club is also too good here👍

Dislikes

Faculty is not much well qualified or well trained I would say
Hectic curriculum, boring schedules and quite unlivable
Labs and classrooms are too old, infrastructure is very old

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student,and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.

Campus is huge and there is to much space for walk and greenari
Affordable price in cantin same we eat outside.
Not that much strict environment than many of the college.

Dislikes

Campus is huge but is mostly empty need of development.
Need of infrastructure and sports facility for students.
Need of contact no. Of emergency contact of the staff.

Placement Experience:

I talk with most of the senior and faculty and placement cell start of 3 rd year you will get internship opportunities and and in 4 th year you will get placement opportunity. But senior told me off campus placement preparation must be go on you will find good opportunity. Highest package is 12 lpa and average is 4 lpa is good for freshers.

I loved the library and canteen of the college
College community is quite good no ragging is done
Faculties are strict but at the same time they are supportive as well

Dislikes

Small Campus not very interesting can be done on that place
Curriculum is as same as tier 3 colleges not very interesting and does not match to those of other colleges like VJTI
Placement cell is not very active they don't provide internship

Placement Experience:

After 4th year students are eligible for campus placement. Capgemini, wipro, accenture are the top companies visited here and the highest package offered was 30lpa. As of now the placement percentage is 80% and rest go for off campus. And even I'll try to go for Off campus

A True Review

Likes

The professors at the college were always available for any doubt clearances or any other help
College also offered courses free of cost of latest technologies
The college supported students in taking part in any paper conference or hackathon

Dislikes

Conduction of technical events was comparatively less
The was alumni connection was not available through college
The infrastructure could be improved more

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the fourth year. There are good number of placement opportunities available through college but the placement package is less compared to other colleges. The placement cordinator is helpful.

I like my college building,classes,labs.
Canteen is good.it provides good quality food.
Library is best. Very nice management and staff

Dislikes

Canteen is good but they must increase their staff.
Class should be sound proof.noice from outside disturbs.
Stationary staff should be increased and price should be decreased.

Placement Experience:

From sem 7 students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Accenture,Wipro, Microsoft, HyperVerge have visited college. In 2020 highest package was 30 lac per annum by Amazon. Last year only 40% students got the placement. I am planning for competitive exams after degree.

Some departments here were really great like ETC and Mechanical with a unique culture going on
AIML and AIDS being new branches here are still doing their job very well for the students

Dislikes

The Students section not really tends to help ,as i saw many financially weak students facing the problem of 1 time payment fees and their request for part payments option is always rejected
Infrastructure is decent but in summer season the water coolers are just useless there ,no cooler will give you cold water

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some courses were to the point like IOT was well designed and DSA too with java programming side by side ,still as i said AIML is new branch and needs much enhancements ,the areas where they can improve was always practicals and labs those were always taken casual as i remember

Likes

Dkte is best for practical knowledge because of its pilot plants which are having machineries with good working conditions
Highly skilled faculties with excellent experience of industrial as well as teaching sector
There are many facilities like idea lab and other testing labs are available which helps students in there project related and research related work

Dislikes

College timing is more as compared to other Colleges
Extra curricular activities and annual events are not upto the marks as compared to other colleges
Canteen facilities for breakfast, lunch, dinner are not that good

Placement Experience:

Students are getting eligible in 6 semester for campus placement Companies like Trident , Arvind Ltd, epic group ,uniclo, vardhaman textile ,dyester ,Aditya Birla knits, Aditya Birla fashion retail, reliance, OCM ,donear etc are visiting and offering jobs ranging from 3.5 lakhs to 18 lakhs per annum Highest salary job is given by companies like Trident and epic group the salary is ranging between 18 -19 lakhs 100 % of students are getting placed every year

VIIT -a good option?

1) I applied to VIT pune ,COEP pune ,PICT pune,CUMMINS ,PCCOE . I didnt get these colleges because i didnt have percentile for merit for that college i had 95.84 percentile and their cutoff for CS branch was 97 at that time which was difficult for me . 2)students can enroll in our college using MHTCET and JEE mains score .Through cet cell there are cap rounds total three and last one spot round (may have changed now).Apart from this there are no tests or exams to get an admission in this college...Read More
