Likes

Placement are quite good, campus are very big with 789 acres of land and green campus with great type of main building structure

Dislikes

The teachers are not too good, we have to rely on youtube for our preparation for the exams conducted in our college

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty members are average, some are even good but you have to study from YouTube that is the seen of almost every college in India. The exams are very timely conducted with moderate to hard difficult level.

Placement Experience

Placements are the best thing in our college. There were more than 200 companies visiting our campus and most of the serious students gets placed with better packages. The highest record of our campus was 60 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is quite more, 16 lakhs for 4 years course. The college provides GP Birla scholarship for a meritious student which is top 100 students get the scholarship. So you need to be in the creamy layer if you want to avail fees recession

Campus Life

The annual fest in our college is BITOTSAV. It generally happens in February month and is quite exciting. There are tons of books in the library but the only disadvantage is the library is open until 8 pm. We have a big sports complex which contains wodden badminton court, football ground, cricket pitch, basketball ground, gymnasium, multi gym, etc. We have quite big classrooms with fully central aitlr conditioners the seats are quite comfortable. There are lecture halls too. There are various types of clubs in our club which are managed by the students Srijan - the electric car-making team, participate in national-level competitions. PSOC- the official photographic Society of bit mesra, cover all the events on our campus. Aveon- formula one racing car maker IEEE - one of the best coding club We also have Eeesoc and Ecesoc, the club of the respective branches. We have a lot more cultural clubs Dhwani - singers club Leo club Acting clubs Dancing clubs and a lot more....

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are not so good but we can stay there In first year we get a shared room usually 2 people staying in one room. In rare cases, you may get triple sharing. The messy food is okay okay. According to the price the hostel is quite good but it can get better.

Hostel Fee: INR 51000 per year

Admission

The admission process is by giving jee mains examination and then appearing for josaa counselling. It has a reservation for Jharkhand candidates. If the seats are left then counselling is done after the Jossaa counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
