Entrance Preview
I wrote SET exam and land up through the same exam. After clearing the SET exam, Personal Interview and Written Ability Test was followed. I chose BA LLB because I love dealing with personal life situations and to know more about the political and judicial setup of India.
Course Curriculum Overview
I gave 8/10 for the course I chose (BALLB). Practical learning is held through Mock trials ,Moot Court Competetions and compulsary internship in summer and winter vacations. There are a lot many research initiatives taken by the institute. Many students write their own research papers twice or thrice times a year also. Also, guest lectures are held every week where resource person of great intellect discuss about the law field. No elective options, I guess.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, college provide us internship. Internship is always a great experience. I only had one internship through college till now, and didn't get any stipend for that.
Placement Experience
There is a separate cell for placement which takes on the responsibilty of placing the students. I never saw a single passout from our college out of job. Amarchand Mangaldas, AZB & Partners, Trilegal, etc. Donot have an exact idea of the average package but it must be in the range of 6-8 lacs per annum.
College Events
Every year, Symfiesta (the annual event) is held in the month of february which lasts for 3 long days. Its always a great fun. Every month, a cultural evening is held where students perform on stages and end up with DJ nights. Footfall is quite low near about 300-400 students. Organization team was of the students itself but a faculty incharge is also there to lookafter. College authorities contribute in the budgeting and organizations.
Fee Structure And Facilities
2 lac 10 thousand per year. Quite a lot, but they are justified as the facilties provided here are worthy enough.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, college provide scholarship through summer schools in foreign nation law colleges . I dont think out college help in getting some loan.
Campus Life
Sports area of our college is the major drawback due to lack of lack of space in the ground. We did get opportunities to explore our inner talents in cultural fests and sports fests which are held every year. But you have to go for it by yourself and help yourself to develop those inner talents. No one will help you to uplift that.
Hostel Facilities
No hostel for boys in SLS, Noida. But food provided to girls in the hostel is quite good (as I heard)
Alumni/Alumna
This was where I think my college is one of best colleges as Alumni network here is brilliant.
Exam Structure
Yes. Exams were held 3 times a semester along with 2 time project submissions making feel tired at the end of the day, but also making us satisfied. Cultural events held every month gave all the chill.
Faculty
Most of the faculty members are PHDs and Masters in their subject. And are interactive as well. We not only get to know what books taught us, but also about how are they applicable in the present scanerio. We read every topic in consonance to the present situations and cases (that is what required from our profession). We get to learn a lot through these interactive sessions. Most of the faculty members have experience of more than 6-7 years of teaching. Faculty members are not only cooperative in the classes but are very friendly outside the class as well.
