The course curriculum was excellent as it covered all the fields of general management.Whether you talk about Operations, Marketing, Finance,HR or Analytics, everything was there. Also,we had the luxury of taking electives with niche departments like Dept of Mathematics,Comp science etc if one aspires to become a data scientist.We also had the luxury to learn foreign languages at the humanities department.

Yes,VGSoM offered internships to each and every student with average stipend around 40k-50k. Big brands and upcoming startups were regular recruiters during the internship season

During 2012-2014 batch, VGSoM offered 100% placement with an average package of around 13 lacs .This included multiple offers as well as dream jobs. Our placement season starts on the first day of December and lasts till 15th of December. International internships were also offered to the students on year 2016.The placement process is driven by the placement cell,IIT Kharagpur,

We have a very happening campus. Scores of inter-IIT events, Cultural fest(Spring Fest),Techno-Management Fest(Kshitij) and our department fest(Purvodaya).Also,VGSoM organised a social entrepreneurship fest every year for small scale industry artists on order to boost their artisanship and offer them earning opportunities.This festival is called Kalakar Vikas. Also,many online B-School competitions are organised throughout the year.

It is very feasible.6.5 lacs for the entire course.I think it hasn't changed much since I have joined.Also,there are many scholarships available which can yield you half or full fee waiver. Further to that,IIT ecosystem offers many other scholarships both national and international.We also have a facility to avail scholar loan which is offered at a discounted rate of interest then the prevailing market rate.Hostel fees is also very nominal.It is around 19k per semester.

We have SBI scholar loan facility available.Also,the department offers half and full waiver scholarship based upon merit and student background.

Campus life @ IIT Kharagpur is awesome.We rank 2 nd all over India in campus experience. Though the institute has a poor gender ratio , VGSOM has a fair gender ratio which is usually around 1 female: 3 male.The institute has a wonderful mix of ethnicity ,race,religion, political and economic orientation.We have different cultural clubs and societies representing different areas such as literature,Management,Science & Robotics,Social-welfare and sports.We also have elected student bodies both at the department level and at the hostel level.We have mess committees ,sport clubs exclusive to different departments and hostels. VGSoM organised many workshops ,covering different spheres of management,around the year.

Hostel facilities are excellent.Good spacious room with balcony and attached bathroom,WiFi connection,DC++ lan,sports ground for each hostel are some of the facilities.Mess food is also fine but not very great.There is a great sense of bonding within hostels and we have inter-faith(hostel) competitions throughout the year We compete in sports,art and literature.

We have a very strong alumni network and they are really very helpful throughout the year.They support us during placement season,internship season,during guest lectures and also during workshops and management summits.They are the back bone of IIT Kharagpur and it's living brand equity

We have semester based curriculum with a mid-term and end term examination happening in each semester.Other than that,we have regular tests, surprise quizzes,live projects,case study competitions and workshops.Each of these activities have a weight in the internal examination

The admission process at VGSoM is divided into three stages : 1. Candidate screen based upon CAT percentile.In my batch it was around 95 for general candidates 2.Group Discussion 3. Personal interview by a panel. Once a candidate clear all these rounds then only he /she is admitted to the institute.

Excellent and very experienced are the two traits I want to talk about.We had highly qualified faculties and the student to faculty ratio was also excellent.Regular guest lecturers were organised by the visiting faculties/Industry speakers to further boost our business acumen
