Likes

Faculty were highly qualified and they mentored properly.
Placement cell is amazing and works very fast to help students grab the most.
Hostel rooms are well maintained and the college has over 750+ acres of campus.

Dislikes

Attendance ratio is need almost 75% and you have to attend class 3/4 days in week.
Sometimes you may get hefty load of academics so you should practice the time management.
Mess food quality is not so good so you may dislike it.

I chose this course because this course is a little chill with respect to other courses and you can strictly focus on your skills and other personal development faculty is to student ratio is about 1:25 teachers are highly qualified except a few of them and for exams, you have to study before 1 week only.

Internships Opportunities

Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, jubilant, Adobe Bharat Biotech Biocon Cipla Dr. Oetker Dr. Reddy Labs Accenture and many more you have to prepare for placements for only 6 months in between 5-6 semesters and after the end of the third year you will be placed at a good company.

Placement Experience

This year more than 300 companies visited and almost 630+ students got placed out of 900 highest package offered here was 85 lakh and the minimum salary offered was 4 lakh All companies almost all MNCs visited our campus except the new startup company which is not listed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is a little hefty being a gift it cost you about 20 lakhs after 4 years covering all the expenses of your living and outings financial scholarship like GP Birla is given to students who score above 9 or 9.5 cgpa and it's difficult to get.

Campus Life

Two fests are organized here 1st is bigots the annual fest and the second is pantheon the availability of books are more than 1.5 lakhs classrooms are well maintained and digitalized and seats here are comfortable, there are more than 30 clubs in the college and sports facilities are good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are well maintained you get 24*7 WIFI and lan connection in your room 1st year you have to live in a double room and from 2nd year you will get a personal room to manage yourself meal quality of mess is ok but you have to figure out what your body needs at what time.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

You have to clear JEE mains then you have to sit in JOSSA and CSAB counseling no provision for direct admission you need to have a minimum of 90%ile in the general category to get eligible in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
