Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course due to my rank which was not so good, but college is my first priority. Faculty to student ratio is 1:30. All faculty members are well educated in their respective fields till their doctorate. Exams here are a bit too hard and happen at regular intervals of 20 days.

Class Size: 93Course Fees: INR 232250 per year

Internships Opportunities

We have an internship session from 3rd year with a stipend of an average of 50k. These are called summer internships. This opportunity provides one to grow and harness new skills which will help him in his placements and even pre-placement offer.

Placement Experience

Generally, placement takes place in the month of December from semester 7. According to data more than 500+ companies in different industries have footfall on campus to hire the brightest minds. About the average package, it is 21 LPA. Highest being 2.04Crpa. My plans are simple as taking placements in IIT Guwahati.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees here are like normal engineering college takes. The total fee for four years is around 10 lacs. Students get scholarships like HDFC easy study etc. But these scholarships are more for category or reserved students and girls also.

Campus Life

Alcheringa is an annual cultural feat we have and the technique is tech one. Alcheringa is organized in the month of Feb and technique in September. The library is well-furnished. All classrooms are well equipped. We have all sports from carrom to squash. There is plenty of options in the choice of clubs and all are very good.

Admission

Jee main and Advanced. On the NTA website, you'll get the official jee main website and there you go. Admissions are generally too smooth but there should be more options other than slide float on josaa.

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Placement Experience:

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

From the seventh semester, one is eligible for Placements. This year(2024-25) 68 percent placement is done for B.Tech. Those who don't get placements either go for higher studies, UPSC, GATE, and some get job by referral from College Alumni.

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement student are eligible from 7th sem and for internship whole 3rd year 5th to 6th sem. Highest package till now is 34 lpa i guess in intuit .and lowest 6lpa.I am totally focus into doing job rsther than doing higher studies .Iam placed at Deloitte and i am happy.till now 50 percent students of civil got plsced 80 percent Cse

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
