But if you are student of General/OBC which the family income more than 8 lakhs then you have to pay around 11 lakhs fees for the course of four years. There are also scholarship for the student performing best in his discipline.

We have a fees structure that is mostly affordable for every student and if there are students who cannot afford their fees, for those people institute provides various scholarships like MCM - merit cum means scholarship, and we as get scholarship even from government that is NSP.

I belong to OBC-NCL with BPL card, so I didn't have to pay tution fees which is 1lakhs per semester. However the mess and other fees (total of 56000), I pay every semester. Yes, There are scholarship opportunities that college offers and also financial assistance but indirectly.

There isn't any fee hike from last year fees for academic course is INR 1 Lakhs while student mess and Hostel fees and other charges comprises around 32000. I awailed MEB financial aid, meaning Most economical backward, causing my tution fee to become 0 and only i was charged for Hostel, mess etc i.e. remaining 32000 , condition was to have family Income under 1LPA.

For each semester there is fees of l lakh and total we have 8 lakh semester fees and hostel+ mess fees is 32000 in the duration of four years. The financial assistance is thus can be provided by education loan which I have taken from the canera bank branch which is tied up from the campus

Fee structure mainly consits of tution fee, Hostel fees and mess fees. Besides these other small fees include medical fees, maintanace fees ,examination fees etc. Fees hike policy at IITG are quiet good and normal. I had not noticed any increasement in fees after my admission in these two years. Various scholarship opportunities are available for IITs students like MCM scholarship, NSP scholarhip and many other scholarship are also offerd by private companies and organisation such as Panasonic Ratti Chhatr scholarship for 1st year students. MCM is merit based scholarship at each year on the basis of CPI of students. Apart from all these scholarship many internship opportunities are offerd from various institues across the globe with good stipend during semester break.

In the first semester 1lakh 52 thousand in total, and you have to pay and total of 11 lakh in 4 years including hostel and mess fees. One has to pay only 1/3 of the total fees if he/she belongs to a family of family income less than 5 lakh per annum and free for sc/st.
