The college management is excellent and works hard to bring in various companies for placement.

The selection was made based on the entrance test conducted in our company as this was a full-time course (classes conducted over a period of 3 years on Fridays & Weekends) sponsored by company (Samsung Research India Bangalore).

The curriculum was decided based on the needs of our company as we are a research institute. SRIB along with IIIT-Bangalore choose the subjects most likely will help in research on cutting edge technologies. Subjects related data science, cryptography, network science, IOT etc were included along with mathematics oriented subjects.

Yes internship is provided in various companies such as IBM, Samsung, Amazon, Qualcomm, Facebook etc. The selection of candidates is based on the test conducted by the respective companies @IIIT-Bangalore. IIIT-Bangalore students get easily placed at interns and are in great demand.

Placement is usually offered by companies such as Facebook, Intel, Samsung, Amazon, Qualcomm etc. The packages are different for different companies. Offer given by a couple of companies are given below. Samsung - around 12 lakhs per annum Qualcomm - around 10 lakhs per annum

The college holds so many events such as technical fests, cultural events, management festivals etc. Many sports events such as athletics, cricket etc. were also conducted on annual basis. May technical fests were conducted to evaluate the technical abilities of the students.

Fees structure is on par with other IIITs but little expensive than RECs. IIT was quite cheaper compared to IIIT-Bangalore. The total fees that I paid was around 6 lakhs to complete the course. The cost per semester was around 2 lakhs including all costs.

So many scholarships come along the way of IIIT-Bangalore. They are national as well as international. They are provide for Under Graduate as well as Post Graduate courses.

Male to Female ratio was around 2:1 but ladies were more encouraged to join the college. Also students from various ethnic community are also admitted to the college. So many extracurricular and culture activities are conducted where students from many colleges and universities across India participate.

I was not a hosteled so I could not comment on this aspect. But as I know the facilities in hostel are very good and well maintained. One of the professor used to be the warden who takes care of maintaining the hostel. It used to be very strict and students need to take permission for any kind of leave or absence.

The seniors have a good connect with the college via alumni network. Many are reputed professors doing research across various colleges and universities across the world. So it is quite easy to get a reference which every company you apply.

Exams were challenging and there are so many tests conducted on a daily/weekly basis. There were also many assignment and project given for every subject. A course typically runs for 3-4 months and mid term exam as well as final exams will be conducted for evaluation.

IIIT-Bangalore is the one of the best colleges around which has the best set of professors from India and abroad. Many professors who returned from the US are also part of IIIT-Bangalore. It was has a lot of old professors who work as guest lecturers for IIIT-Bangalore.
