Remarks

Overall the college has been wonderful in terms of curriculum, infrastructure, faculty, lab facilities, campus opportunities, events organised etc.

Entrance Preview

I had taken CET entrance exam in which i scored 2461 rank. I opted for this college as it was reputed in the vicinity and found that college consists of all infrastructure and faculty required.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum mainly consisted of verity of programming languages starting from basics of C. Of course in the first year we had general subjects and only after 3rd semester it was streamlined based on our stream. There were few outdated technologies which could have been replaced with latest trending technologies.

Internships Opportunities

During our course we did not have the opportunity of internship. But i got to hear from juniors that they had this opportunity of experiencing industry level training and execution of tasks.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement and job opportunity was pretty decent during our course. Plenty of companies did visit us and few of them opted for mass recruitment. The recruitment process was all long seventh and eight semester. During the process, verity of companies offered jobs to candidates.

College Events

4.5

During our course in the college there were not much technical events to take part in. But in recent years there has been wonderful advancement in this area. Now, they conduct hackathons, seminars, groups discussions etc. On the cultural and sports side, there are plenty of events that takes place like Union day, college day, branch inauguration etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was pretty affordable for me as i had got under merit seat. But there are payment seats available and i am not sure of the cost of the course. I had managed to complete my entire course in about less than a lakh. But it was quite some time back and i am sure things might have changed since then.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not opted for any scholar ship or loans during my course. But i have heard there are scholar ships available for post graduate students. Regarding loans, it is an easy process as it is for a professional course.

Campus Life

4.5

Well campus life was truly memorable which included both curriculum oriented and outside the boundaries of that. There were couple of personality development events, group discussions etc organised. In addition, there was plenty of events related to sports, workshops etc which would take place. Gender ratio was pretty good in our college and there was plenty of streams for the students to opt for.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Our college did offer separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls in the vicinity of college. But as i was put up close to college i used to commute on daily basis. But i have heard from my classmates that hostel facility was decent then and food was acceptable. In spite of that, there are plenty of PG facilities in and around the college.

Alumni/Alumna

There are many alumni groups in Facebook, twitter etc which can be made use of. They are pretty genuine and helping in nature. Yes these groups are of good information providers for any want to be joine

Exam Structure

Well, the experience was mixture of both. There has been hectic days specifically while nearing the project deadline and pleasant otherwise. The practical exam consisted of small project execution followed by viva from the invigilator. Theoretical exam consisted of written exams which are descriptive in nature.

Admission

It was a simple process after college selection in CET cell. I had to walk in to the college with my guardian and meet the admission department with required documents. The admission department was well versed with the process and they took case of the rest and guided us accordingly.

Faculty

4

The college consisted of verity of faculty expertise from decades of teaching experience to new recruiters. But we were lucky to have gone through some of good faculties throughout our course. It was an excellent learning under them. Some of the faculties had very good understanding of the subject.

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.
