The college its sturcture and greenery

Course Curriculum Overview

I opt for mechanical engineering because my cheer interest in mechanics the girls to boys ratio is very good here in the college, especially in our branch The faculty members here are of great knowledge and helpful There are 4 major exams 2 quizzes of 10 marks each mid-term of 25 and end term of 50 other than that there are lab practicals and tests.

Internships Opportunities

The companies that come here are mainly tata which provides many internship opportunities which include stipend of 3-4lpa.There are many companies visit here it's a nice college for internships here internships are given from 3rd year

Placement Experience

The placement percentage of the college is fair in the case of circuital branches the highest package offered here in Cse and ece branches is 60lpa on campus other than that the core branches' average package lies somewhere between 10-12lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here are very high with respect to semi-government colleges the fees here is 5 lakhs per annum including mess charges which Is a huge amount more than some private colleges There are multiple scholarships for SC/ST students but in general there is great difficulty about scholarship

Campus Life

There are many annual fests organised here one is mainly bitotsav it's is annual socio-cultural fest it invites participants from over 200 colleges of india other mainly there are many like dramzest,deepostav etc.

Admission

For admission into this college for a good branch like cse one should need rank between 10-20k in jee mains. For this you have to apply to josaa counselling which will decide whether you get in this college or not there is also external counselling the college after josaa and csab

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
