Likes

- The temporary campus and the problems in going to the late night events.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose it because the college had good packages. The coming of the new director Prafulla Agnihotri meant better opportunities to interact with the newer more experienced faculties he hired after his recent appointment. The faculty-to-student ratio is nice too because a professor generally teaches two sections at a time and no classes have more than 60 students.
Internships Opportunities
There were good companies like Accenture, DCM Shriram etc for the SIP process. The average stipend would have been somewhere around 40k a month however the placement report is not officially out yet. Also, the internship will last for 8 weeks after which Term 4 will start after a short break.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from the fourth term itself when they return from the summer internships. The highest package for the last year was 64 lakh rupees. The placement was 100 per cent for our batch.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for the last batch were 13,75,000 tuition only which went on to 16,00,000. Also, the scholarship programs offered by the government are the only ones provided to students here. Loans are easily available at reasonable interest rates.
Campus Life
There are various clubs mostly either domain or interest-based. There are well-functioning committees which undertake to conduct the annual fest Sierra, sports competitions, debate competitions etc. All major journals are available including HBR, MITR along with other major newspapers.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are double sharing and the mess is inside hostels. The mess fees need to be paid externally apart from the course fees which is 18000 for every term. The meals are clean hygienic and have variety in them. The rooms are cleaned every day and the process is very smooth.
Admission
The admission process included taking the CAT exam and then sitting for the CAP interviews conducted by IIM Trichy. After that, the shortlists came out. The CAT form cost me 2000. According to the reservation, 27% of the seats are reserved for OBC candidates.
Interview Experience
The selection criteria included giving the CAT exam and the personal interview round conducted by IIM Trichy. The test included three sections namely, VARC, LR, and QUANT. The personal interview was comprehensive and overall a good experience which was around my ambitions and little around my academics.
