Likes

The club and society is good. Events take place regularly.
Wifi facility is provided to each student.
Mess food here is quite good in comparison.

Dislikes

Night life is very bad. No night canteens
Gender ratio is very messed up here in the campus
Attendance policy is strictly followed here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is based on the latest CBCS system. The exams are taken semester-wise with a total of two quizzes, one mid-semester, and one end-semester. The student-to-faculty ratio is around 70:1.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite hefty as it sums up to a total of around 17 lakh rupees. The hostel fee is around 40,000 per year and the mess fee is also the same. You can grab GP Birla Scholarship if you score above 9 CGPA.

Campus Life

The campus life at BIT Mesra is very good. The only con about campus life here is the nightlife. There is no as such night canteen. There is a strict restriction on the timings of girls on campus. Annual Fests are organized every year. The library is big with lots of book.

Admission

The admission process was carried out through JEE Mains examination. The counseling process was carried out through JoSAA and CSAB counseling process. The application process is out after the scorecard is released.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

BIT Mesra is mesmerizing!!

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
