Remarks

I don't know the scenario now so it's difficult to say.

Entrance Preview

ENAT - I scored 140 with a rank of 1620. I chose it because it was my best option based on merit.I didn't want to go to a random college and take up a course I didn't want.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It was good. The college is known for its mechanical and civil departments more than computer science but it was a fun experience going through college. They could ease some test regulations but other than that it's good. Yeah, I think that's it. What more do I say.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, it does provide an opportunity for students to intern with professors on internal projects. I don't believe there is a stipend but the overall experience seems to be rated average. Because most students just want to get done with it and that's all.

Placement Experience

3.5

The opportunities are good, for some branches. For others, they get huddled into IT jobs anyway. The mechanical and civil have a few good placements. The CSE, ECE, IT departments dominate the placements at the big companies like MS and Samsung. The overall procedure of placements could be improved a LOT though.

College Events

4.5

Techtatva was the major tech fest and Revels is the major cultural fest. Both fests are conducted with great enthusiasm and attract a lot of students from nearby colleges and far ones alike. They're good fests. They are conducted with a lot of passion and energy and you can always feel it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive. MIT is one of the most expensive colleges in India. Hostels as well as the tuition fees are quite high and without a scholarship but that doesn't mean you don't see a diverse crowd.

Fees and Financial Aid

I know of it but I haven't availed it. A friend of mine did. Needs a high rank. Maybe top 250 or so. CGPA also needs to be maintained.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is cool and fun. It's chilled out for the most part. Gender ratio and diversity are good too. The culture is very open and that's one of the best things about this college. Other competitions were also good with quality participation. It was good to be in a place with such a diverse set of events taking place all round the year. I enjoyed it. Thank you very much.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities and mess food are very good. Better than most other colleges. The quality often degrades as the year progresses but where does that not happen. Overall it is okay. But new buildings are coming up for the hostels and so more students will have a place to stay so I guess that's fine.

Alumni/Alumna

I am not really a part of any alumni network of our college. But if they are there, they can be helpful.

Exam Structure

We had two sessionals per subject per semester. Other than that, we also had at least 2 assignments. Of course, all this is before the end semester examinations. However, I like the earlier structure better which conducts 3 sessionals instead of two and takes the best two marks into account. It helps increase the overall learning while decreasing the overall workload.

Admission

I wrote my ENAT in Hyderabad because I had opted for that center because I was living in that city at that time. So then I went to the center and took the online test which was a very smooth experience. The admission procedure for MIT was quite early so I went to the college with my dad to see if I could get the branch I wanted. Turned out I could and so we went ahead with the procedure - filling the required forms and signing in the right places. We also got our hostel allocation and got to meet my roommate so that was nice.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of some departments like mechanical and civil is amazing but some departments like ours can suffer due to bad faculty. The key factor is you really have to know what you're getting into because the faculty is only there to help but the hard work needs to be put in by the student. Although, in my opinion, the college could use a lot of better faculty.

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students. Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements. As for my plans after completing the degree, I aim to explore job opportunities in the field of industrial management, leveraging the skills an
