Course Curriculum Overview
I chose a BA hons English because I want to become a professor. The student ratio in this course is 60:40 where boys are 60% and girls are 40%. The faculty in the college is very good. All the faculty members are professors. No teacher is below that degree. Most of the teachers have PhD degrees. Exams happen twice a year and it is not that difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Paytm, Airtel, and LG offer internship opportunities for students. All students with higher grades are eligible for this internship opportunity. Roles are given like supervisor, editor, digital marketing, promoter etc.
Placement Experience
From semester 4 students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Paytm, LG, and airtel visits every year in the college and make so many offers. The highest package is around 40 lakhs and the lowest is 5 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements is 70%. My plan after getting the degree is to do PG courses.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for this course are very low. It is only 11190 for 1 year and it can be low through students aid funds and scholarships. For books, notes, and study materials it can be like 2000-5000 rupees every month.
Campus Life
Annual fest occurs every year in the month of April and departmental fests occur every year in the month of March to April. The library is fully loaded with books. All course books are available here. And there are 8 journals in the library that are always ready for help. There is a big playground on the campus. A cricket field, football ground, volleyball ground, badminton court, handball court. And there is also an open gym and indoor games like chess, and carrom board. There are so many societies that are run by students like Trayambakam. It is a music society. In the college, NCC is also available for both girls and boys.
Admission
I got admission to the college in the year 2021 in the 5th cutoff. The cutoff was 93% for BA hons English. For this course, the minimum percentage required is 85%. So I am in Rajdhani College which is a DU's college. So all the dates, forms, fees etc details are uploaded on DU's website. Yes, there is a reservation for students outside Delhi and it is 30%. Now the admission process is changed. Back then it was on a cut-off basis now from 2022 onwards it is an entrance-based admission.
