Course Curriculum Overview

i have choose these subject/department because i love to construct buildings and bridges and many of structures , so i choose civil engineering , in thease stream max number studens are there , it is difficult to get chances in job

Companies like Amazon , talentise global limited, jd ramky etc were visited our college and gives us role of site engineer, assistant engineer and project manager as well with a internship training of 6 month.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester students become eligible for campusing and placement via college. The companies like talentise global limited,jd ramky,Amazon etc are visited our college for college placement. 70% students get placement every year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of diploma is around 750rs per semester or 1500rs per yearly basis. The scholarship we got is swami Vivekananda scholarship,mi scholarship , oasis scholarship etc. and we got campus in college after 5th semester.

Campus Life

The annual fest is named as annual fest no changes in name is applied and it is held in June or July month every year. All books of all departments are available in the library as well . Our college has its official website www.sgpolytechnic.org

Admission

First of all we have to fill up the form of the entrence exam , for entreing into the college , then the council gives a date for the enternce exam then we have ti give the exam and then reasults came out and i got admittted into the college .

I don't know about any other college but my college have industry orient syllabus. And the teachers were highly qualified and experienced. They don't use the conventional way of theaching. They believe in practical knowledge. The deficulty level slightly increases per exam. 45min alloted for every internal exam..

Placement Experience:

After passing 4th semester L&T, TATA, NIPPON STEEL, JSL, JSW, BRAVO etc Highest package provided is around 8-10 LPA and average package provided is around 4 LPA. Usually and L&T and JSL provides high packages Almost 70-80% of students I'm going to take admission in a BTECH college for persuing Bachelor in Engineering degree

From final year, the companies start visiting our campus for placements, Very few companies arrives and with an average package of 2 Lakhs per annum in our college. The placement rate is overall very low and there is a room for improvement in this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I belong a lower middle class family so I knew that it is diploma Engineering which is held by jexpo entrenced exam that is quietly easy for me to qualify a govt college. In daily study base i undergoes with my study. Teaching method of my college teacher are quite good but management system of this diploma are very bad.

Placement Experience:

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Oky so I applied for many colleges in the counselling time but those colleges were very far from my hometown and Siliguri government polytechnic college comes at top 10 colleges for this diploma course and Also I came on a merit basis My 10th marks were asked and they gave me a rank and then I had to go for counseling and admission process for which I came to Siliguri made my admission. Also there's one thing that in the admission time it was written that we have hostel in our college but when we visited physically they said they don't have hostel. You have to qualify the Secondary examination from any recognized board with 35%. You have to score 30% in Maths, Science and English. The admission process is done by JEXPO or VOCLET ( Lateral Entry )examination. You have to pass the Higher secondary or equivalent to particpate in Voclate Examination. You must be 10th pass from any state. To take admission you have to qualified in Jexpo exam which is conducted in every year. Yes there is reservation quota for SC ST and OBC. You have to visit the college which is alloted according to your rank after completing the counciling....Read More
