Eligibility for admission may depend on state Entrance Exams. Below are the various criteria set as per the college courses.

Diploma in Engineering	Duration: 3 Years Specializations: Architecture, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science & Technology, and Civil Engineering Eligibility: Candidate should have passed class 10th with English, Mathematics & Physical science/Science and acquired at least 35% marks in average. The lower age limit is 15. Candidates must be Indian Citizens. Selection Criteria: Entrance Based (JEXPO)
Diploma in Pharmacy	Duration: 2 Years Eligibility: Candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics as major subjects from any recognized Board/University. Selection Criteria: Candidates should qualify in a centralized or Institute-level Common Entrance Test.

Siliguri Government Polytechnic Admission

Admission of the Siliguri Government Polytechnic College will be made based on the Centralized or Institute-level Common Entrance Test (CET) for a diploma in Pharmacy followed by centralized or institute level counseling. The admission process for the engineering course is carried out based on the JEXPO/ VOCLET score and online counseling.

Siliguri Government Polytechnic Facilities

Library: The institution has its central library enriched with collections of textbooks, journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, competitive exam books, and many more.
Infrastructure: 35 classrooms, 39 laboratories, 5 workshops, Drawing Halls. For better absorption of learning of the students, it is also having Smart Classrooms, Multimedia Lab, and Tutorial Rooms. To develop communication skills, it is devised with Language Lab. For a customized training program, the college also finds a conference room for the students.
Computer Lab: The computer department of the institute is equipped with an adequate no. of computers and with the latest & modern technologies.
Equipment: The teaching aids used by the faculty are slide projectors, PA systems, Overhead projectors (OHP), and other On-Line information systems.

Vibrant campus life a perfect blend of academics socials and nightlife

Likes

The natural beauty of the college is good but it needs to be kept clean and the drinking water needs to be maintained properly

Dislikes

The college is not nicely coloured, And in some places there is no colour at all

Admission:

1st choice Siliguri Govt Polytechnic Known for his strong faculty in electronics field but the course structure seemed too theoretical and I was looking for a more handsome approach. Strong practical focus:- the emphasis on internships case studies and industry collaboration align with my career objectives. GPA requirements while I meet the eligibility criteria my gpa may have been on the lower end of their cartop range and they likely priorities applicants with higher academic performance

My Review about our college SGP

Likes

Nature can be experienced very well from our 2nd campus such as Mountains. ( We have two campus )
Transportation facilities are very good from our 1st campus.

Dislikes

Transportation facilities are not so good ( without train)

Admission:

You have to qualify the Secondary examination from any recognized board with 35%. You have to score 30% in Maths, Science and English. The admission process is done by JEXPO or VOCLET ( Lateral Entry )examination. You have to pass the Higher secondary or equivalent to particpate in Voclate Examination. Likes

Programs of SGP, Sports, Cultural activities.
As it has two campus so very large campus.

Admission:

You must be 10th pass from any state. To take admission you have to qualified in Jexpo exam which is conducted in every year. Yes there is reservation quota for SC ST and OBC. You have to visit the college which is alloted according to your rank after completing the counciling.

The application form is available on the official website:- wbscvte.co.in The application fee is Rs. 500 for general/OBC candidates and for SC/ST and female candidates it is Rs. 250 The application for Diploma in engineering & technology may be started around January - February and the last date of submission will be around the last week of April as well.

Admission:

For admission one need needs to appear in the JEXPO entrance examination while in/ after class 10th, and appear for the councelling based on the rank achieved. All the details are posted on the WBSCTE website. For 2019, the last round admission cut offs went to around 22k. A rank within 14k, is good enough to get selected in the first round of councelling.
