Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer Science and Technology because I wanted to be a professional engineer a computer field. The faculty have done M.tec and there is one professor for approximately 40 students in our department.

There are various companies the offers internship and learning program and give performance certificate like TATA, CIDCO, WIPRO, TCS, TATA MOTORS, MAHINDRA, ORACLE, and many more we have to do certain projects to make it easy to get an intern.

Placement Experience

We became eligible for placement after three years, The college had various opportunities to participate in multiple internships provided, which helps to collect certificates which helps in a good CV report.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know much about the fees policy but the fees structure is about 18000 for complete 3 years diploma course. There are many scholarships that everyone apply for like SVMCM,OASIS plus there are campus job available.

Campus Life

There are many fest and annual functions for the students and faculty such ongoing fest right now is samrudhi its one of the largest fest of our college which offers cash prize on winning and there is also exciting rewards

Admission

I took admitted to Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Polytechnic Jhargram through the JEXPO examination. After giving my higher secondary examination from the West Bengal board. The admission process is very easy and it took only 5 minutes for verification.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

After the 5th Semester apparently companies start interviewing students. I am going through campusing right now. I have been selected by Aurora for further interviewing. Highest package is of Jindal around 17k and average package is 11k with accommodations. 85-90% students get placement. I am planning for higher study completing B.tech after getting the degree.

Crescent foundry and so many companies are visited our campus and offerd almost every students for job.the highest package is 1.80 lpa and lowest is 1.44 lpa. There re almost 60 percent students are placed and rests are getting prepare for next campusing.My plan is doing job after completing this degree.

In west Bengal, Very few colleges provide Metallurgy stream in diploma. Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar polytechnic(ICVP) is one of them. First, you have to apply for the JEXPO entrance exam after completing the 10th/ 12th. The application form will available in any Diploma College or you can apply online. Application fees are almost 500 rs. You have to rank in the Jexpo exam under 10000, to avail of the seat. In ICVP seat reservation is available, for this, you have to pay 500rs.
