BCRP Durgapur Admission

The procedure for enrolment into all the diploma courses offered by the institution is entrance-based with the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must be the citizen of India.
  • Candidate should have the minimum age of 15 years, while there is no maximum age limit.
  • Candidate must have cleared secondary examination with at least 35% marks in English, Science, and Mathematics excluding the marks of the additional subjects. If any candidate who secures good marks in JEXPO test but didn’t score the required marks in secondary examination is not eligible for the counselling process.
  • Under the Central counselling system, majority of the seats (75% of seats) would be allotted on basis of JEXPO rank organized by the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. However, the rest of the seats (25% of seats) are filled under the category of management quota where the candidates get admission within only 45% in Science and Mathematics with or without JEXPO rank with a higher fee.
  • After checking the Eligibility criteria, the candidates who are fulfilling this criterion can apply for admission into the diploma courses offered by the institution.

  • Central Library- The library is situated on the ground floor in a multi-storey building of the institution. It is a well– equipped library with the good internet connectivity and better collection of text books (approximately 10000 books with around 700 titles), reference books, and CD-DVDs. Also, it provides full time access to the database which is available online, huge book bank which enables the students to lend the books for a longer duration. Finally, latest journals and newspapers are made available in the library along with the reprographic services. 
  • Smart Classrooms- The class rooms are designed as per the demand of latest technology. It includes Smart board with projection system enabling better interaction between the teachers and students.
  • Computer Centre- The institution provides large computer lab in which LAN network is established for better internet connectivity and higher speeds 24 / 7. Each student has its own user ID and password which is provided by the institute so that students can store their own databases. It is open for both the teachers and students for making presentation and notes.
  • State-of- art Language laboratory- This is the lab which is especially designed for enhancing the soft skills of the students. It also has ORELL digital software which are helpful in polishing their skills. The lab has the capacity of 25 students. For making better learning experience, an individual teacher is allocated to each student to improve linguistics and soft skills of the course pursuing candidates.
  • Seminar Hall- Seminar hall has the latest model of sound and projection system. It can accommodate 100 students at a time. It is fully air- conditioned and also has a good LAN network for internet connectivity. It is used for conducting presentation, workshops and conferences, meeting of faculty and students, and convocation purposes.
  • Hostel & Accommodations- Campus has separate hostels for boys and girls as per their needs. Moreover, sport ground for volleyball, basketball, football is present there.
